This is a silly argument that I see beaten to death on this board and among sports fans in general.
It’s like someone saying “I hate minivans” and then you tell them “yeah? How many cars have you built?”

our political talk board is filled with thousands of opinions about our presidential leaders and candidates to which non of us have experience doing.

This place is filled with people who can't think for themselves and just regurgitate nonsense.

“Let’s go Brandon”
“Oh yeah? How many times have you held public office?”

I tried leaving a review for a restaurant the other day bit deleted because I realize I've never been a chef or kitchen manager. Shortly thereafter I was asked how the golf course I played in Hawaii was and all I could do was lie and say it was awesome even though the fairways were horrible because I have never been a greenskeeper.

It looked pretty routine. Fence or lights may have gotten him. I made many like it in HS, but also missed 1 or 2 because of lights. Sometimes they screw you up a bit, especially if you are charging or chasing.

I don’t bash the kid. I bash all the coaches that he played for from 5 years old on not teaching him to track a baseball and or play the fence. Winning is more important to those idiots then teaching the kids the game. It’s a shame really.
And yes yes it was a routine play. He had plenty of time to get back to fence then stand there to make the catch. He missed played the ball off the bat and never recovered. He panicking in a new position which is TOTALLY understandable so don’t bash the kid. Bash the 1000’s of practices he’s been to and was never made comfortable with catching a fly ball against a wall.

The ultimate truth of this reality is with so many questions in the outfield whether it be larson's drop, larson's arm, browns mis reads and out right drops, inability to use kling's defense consistently... it's the ultimate responsibility of the coaching staff to assemble, recruit and develop the talent on the rosters. We came up short in the end.

I’ll chime in on this. Played D1 and played all three outfield positions but mainly center. I thought it was the easiest by far and that right field was the hardest because of the angle of the batter and the way balls from right handed hitters tailed towards the line.
Errors happen and you just hate to see it at such a crucial point in the game. I can assure you that Brown feels much worse than our fan base does.
I do however struggle with the play he didn’t make on the ball in the first inning that landed 10-15 feet in front of him. I thought that should have been caught.

Look at it another way, he’s at a program where it matters and fans care.
He’ll come back from it and be a better player because of it.
