Listen, I agree 100% that he should not listen to the fans when it comes to decisions about the team. Not at all saying he should. But basically telling a guy that has supported LSU by buying season tickets for 25 years that his opinion is shite is the wrong way to approach it. Just my opinion

Not at all. He is paid millions to make the calls and it's his job on the line. The way he worded his response is what surprised me.

If I was Miles, I would hate a portion of this fanbase.

He is most definitely above the fans. Like some coach said, "if you listen to the fans, you'll soon be seating with them."

Grow up! Miles is paid $3.7 million to coach this team and to make the calls. If he hurts your feelings, go see the Board of Supervisors and in the meantime, spare the rest of us by being quiet and posting on facebook.

I get where you are coming from. I don't imagine he really was trying to sound arrogant.

This guy had tickets through the 90's so he shouldn't even think of questioning Miles. Grant it I at one time was this way but I have come to the light. Winning is much better than losing.

ETA: I thought it was TIGRLEE that asked that question

I didn't listen last night but I'm guessing the question everyone is referring to that Miles answered as such was the one that was linked earlier?

If so, people are making way to big a deal out of this. I'm a Miles supporter and always have been though I admit I do not understand some of the decision making in regards to JJ.

Some of the people criticizing the caller so much are pathetic. It's not like he did it in a smartass way like half the people on that show. He was respectful, congratulated him on a good season, and was simply trying to figure out the reasoning behind JJ starting as many of us were rather confused by. If it's a different caller that people are referring to, I apologize, but if not then give the guy some slack...his question was a legit one that the entire fanbase would like to know.

If someone was questioning my job and I was 10-0 and a shoe in for my 2nd national title as a coach, I too would tell you to frick off.

I guess I can see your point, but Les Miles has been shown very little respect by a large portion of the fan base for most of his time here. He's had players who were shown even less.

Maybe it's time to face the fact that he's not too fond of a certain type of fan.

This. I'm saying I think he approached the question wrong. It pissed me off the way he answered it and i was just listening. I understand he is the coach, but don't tell the caller "I'll do what i want." People spend a lot of money supporting him and LSU for him to have this attitude.

In regards to the first caller, do feel that Les Miles has the wrong attitude toward the fanbase?

You talking about the fans that said he was a piece of shite for not starting J.Lee .

I was surprised by his response. He sounded like a child saying, "I can do whatever I want. You're not the boss of me!"

How much of a shite do you think Don Shows gives what Bubba Redneck thinks about who he should start?

So we have a thread calling out les bc of the way he worded a response to a caller on a local radio show...?

It's not charity. They pay him to win. He's winning. If he wasn't winning, they'd send a fricking lynch mob to his house. Most LSU fans don't really give a frick about the coach as a person. It's business. A quid pro quo. He gets paid, they get entertained by a successful team on Saturday night.

Simple. Let's not romanticize this. If you or I were Les Miles we wouldn't give two fricks about 50% of the LSU's ungrateful fanbase.

As he shouldn't! He gets paid to run the program, fans don't.

He is still waiting on that handwritten letter from Miles explaining in detail why the switch was made.
