Did anyone ever figure out who that was called on?

I realize it's old news but since it's an off week and we're talking officiating, this has been bothering me!

That flag went up so fast, it looked to me like it was going to be called "just because". No way you hold that fast...LF went for like 12 yards on that play...

I want to know who held?

I am very skeptical of the call because of it's timing...we were up 2 TD's with the ball.

That penalty killed our drive and ended up eventually giving up the punt return TD...

phantom calls are huge!

Here is a video of the whole game. The 2nd half action begins around 1:09:20. The first play is a legit hold on Clapp. And the flag wasn't early.

LF did not go for 12 that play, although he did gain about 10 the next play (1st and 20). We did not give up the punt return for TD right after, so we may be talking about different points in the game.

That's not the one I think he's talking about. The one I am remembering that was a fast flag came from the near side judge and LF ran near side for a handful. Don't remember when it happened, though.

Yeah, I've been wondering about the illegal procedure call against Arkansas in 2009. Anybody know why the refs called that BS?

thanks for the video link

I watched the play 3 times

I don't see holding. Did he hook him with his left arm?

Clap appears to have his pads square, blocking low and underneath blocking to the left.

where is the holding?

No way 57 was going to make a play on LF anyways because he was on the wrong side of Clapp.

I did have the 12 yard gain wrong, that was the play after the holding.

drive killer

we didn't do much the entire 3rd QTR.

Clapp was laughing about the call

What do you see?

I made a thread about it in 2012.

SEC office said our WR shoe lace was in neutral zone...no check was made prior to snap

I want to know about the phantom defensive offsides penalty in 1907 that allowed Bama to get into position for the winning field goal. That 6-4 loss still bugs me.

I agree Apex. But it isn't anything compared to the calls we will get called for Saturday next with Ritter's crew.

Clapp drug him down in the backfield. He's going to laugh because linemen never hold.
