Prayers for family.
Even though his number wasn't 18, he embodied all that number 18 is meant to represent today for LSU football.
From 20 yards out, boom, he would break through the line and score untouched.
Hokie Gajan--LSU Forever!!!

It was tough hearing Jim Henderson breaking down on WWL this morning. Hokie seemed like a great man. RIP

At the top of the hour deke, who I'm not very fond of, did a little tribute. He began to cry at the end. I tell you what. I could have given that man a hug

Hokie was a great athlete coming out of Baker. I played against him in high school and later at LSU. I remember seeing as an equal to both Leroid Jones, a 9.5, and LeRoyal Jones, 24 foot LJ'er in HS. Baker was LOADED that year with the Jones' brothers, Hokie, Tremaine Johnson and Terry Davis. Studs across the line. Hokie came out for the district track meet at Bernie Moore after finishing baseball during his Senior year and won the 220 with a 22.5. His freshman year at LSU, Coach Stovall, his position coach at the time, thought Hokie could use some game reps so he played in a freshman game versus Florida State. Hokie proceeds to take a KO to the house, a punt to the house and rush for over 180 yards. Things changed when he blew his knee out versus Tulane that year and he came back too soon...Great guy...authentic...real...genuine...
