Angel is actually quite similar in play to Debra Rodman, Dennis’ sister, who played for the LA Tech Lady Techsters during the early part of the 1980’s. Look her up. Rebounding machine and not much of a scorer.

Priorities, man. I’m on a mission to protect the English language. The word “literally” is often literally being used to mean the exact opposite of what it means. There are many people who will read this who hold two thoughts: one, that defending the language this way is picayune, and pedantic

If you are genuinely committed to preserving the integrity of the English language, it is important to acknowledge that the term literally has, for many decades, been employed as a rhetorical device to convey emphasis. To state that an individual was "literally" caught lying serves to highlight that the accusation was not merely speculative; rather, it was substantiated with clear evidence, particularly in this instance where no proof of racial slurs was found.

Where are the outraged voices from the WNBA saying that the veterans get no respect for what they have done? Only works for a certain parameter I suppose.

No it doesn’t. There is no difference in meaning between “A man was caught lying” and “A man was literally caught lying.” In that case it is being used as an intensifier, which is okay. But to use it twice in a short paragraph?

As mentioned earlier, the word "literally" has long been used in English to emphasize a statement. Therefore, your argument about "protecting the English language" is misplaced, as there was no misuse of the word, despite your intentionally confrontational approach.

When the word “literally” is being used as an intensifier only, and not to clarify meaning, it is being misused. The fact that folks have long been doing it just means that folks have long been in error. It would never pass muster on a college level composition.

This point is irrelevant. Like Spanish, French, and Portuguese, English has both formal definitions and informal usages that evolve through everyday conversation. You would benefit from reading a wider range of literature beyond traditional college textbooks, as they offer insight into the contrast between academic writing and real-world communication. If you fail to recognize this distinction, it’s unsurprising that you resort to provoking others on a fan forum, seemingly searching for meaning in your insignificant life.

There’s where we disagree. I agee on the insignificance of my life though, and yours.

Could you elaborate which channel it is? Does YouTube Tv, Cox, Hulu Live, Sling, or any other live tv providers carry it?
