Pelini's salary is inexcusable, but he only has a 3 year contract.
Linehan only has a two year contract.
So after this season, Linehan has 1 year on his contract, and Pelini has 2. That's...not much.
$5.4 million buys out both of them after this year. That may sting a little more than usual this year due to the lost revenue from COVID, but for an athletic department with a $100+ million annual budget, it's something we should be able to take care of if needed.

Dan Lanning and Peter Golding? These guys careers couldn’t hold a candle to Pelini’s or Linehans. Y’all are being really stupid about the salary thing.
