Hiring pelini and linehan is one thing. Their salaries are inexcusable

Who the hell were they bidding against?

I said this before and it bears repeating. Woodward sure likes to throw money around.

Jimbo, Bo and Linehan aren’t looking like good contracts at all.

You think that coaches should be paid after the season? Now THAT sounds like a brilliant recruiting ploy.

Seriously where do you people come up this this shite?

Don’t think he’s complaining about them just the guy gave them a lot more money than he should have.

It’s a legit point.

I really don’t give a frick what they make. They’re at LSU and expected to win regardless if they make $2k or $2M

Let Lipsey and the 1-percenters who pay the tab worry about the money

This might be the worst spin I have ever seen. You are trying so hard to twist words; it's pathetic.

"Stupid to pay those guys that salary when they haven’t earned shite "

So then how does one decide what/when to pay the coaches? When do they get the opportunity to "earn shite"?

Maybe pay the coaches on a game by game basis depending on results? Set their pay based on certain statistical criteria for their unit?

I'm interested to read how coaches should be paid before and after they have a chance to "earn shite".

Imagine if we were UL-Monroe and getting turned down by coaches because we couldn’t afford to offer enough money

Stop bitching about our white-collar problems

So what should LSU have offered in your opinion?

How cheap should LSU have gone?

What would YOU have done after Aranda bolted?

You could have paid pelini half that and probably got him. And if not, oh well.

Nothing he’s done in the last 10 years justified that salary

You really don't understand do you? Hiring a coodinator at a school like LSU isn't like hiring some one to flip burgers. These positions have an intrinsic value. Pelini and his agent know that. He wouldn't have come to this job without compensation that reflects its value. LSU offers one million and they laugh LSU out of the room.

Just the hint of this and LSU is the laughing stock of every sports show. I know how important that is to LSU fans to be respected. You would be screaming about THAT.

Just to ease my curiosity, exactly how much are you contributing to Pelini's salary?
