Again proving you know 0 about basketball and are basically retarded in general. Do you know how many coaches win a bunch of games at the lower levels every year? Of course not, you’re stupid but those coaches aren’t proven, they’re the opposite. To be a “proven” winner at the level you’re on you have to have won at that level.

Stick to discussions about the NHHs (sadly there are plenty to them) and leave basketball to the men.

It is literally my whole argument. But being dumber than a bag of rubber dicks, you let one point slide right by. You fricking kids need to learn comprehension.

No you oxygen thief!… I’m asking you for the third time why McMahon was successful before coming to LSU? But in your infinite dumbassery, you keep on ignoring the fundamental component of my statement and add shite that was never said. You are a fricking moron.

And I’ve answered you on that even though we’re now on a third topic because you keep deflecting from the original point being it was so stupid. But continue with the retardation, false statements and now we can add lies if you like.

Based on Arrows logic an 8th grade coach who has won multiple league titles is a proven winner at the major college level.....Hmmm come to think of it I know a few 8th grade coaches who could coach circles around Mcloser!!

Yep, hire Danny Broussard, “proven winner” with more championships than coach K but he’s off that talking point now. He’s moved onto some other nonsensical idiocy like the OVC and SEC being equals.

I'll step in, you just read a Wiki on Coach McMahon. It will tell you he won 20+ games 4 times at Murray State and 25+ three of those times, and 30+ one of those times.

It will not tell you he had Ja Morant for two of those seasons, whom an assistant found and CoachMc didn't scout. It will not tell you he was the first coach in that past 20+ years at Murray State to have a losing season. It will not tell you that he took over a 29-6 squad the year prior and proceeded to go 17-14 and 16-17.

In 11 seasons as a head coach, he has a winning record in 6 of them. And 2 of the 6 were barely above .500.

I'll go back to serving your kids fries at the drive-through now.

Didn't Reed play the whole season two years ago? He looked pretty darn good then and we won 9 SEC games

Yes, he played in 32 games, started 20 and averaged 8 points and 4 boards per game.

The next year he started 8 games before he got hurt and averaged 11 points and 6 boards a game against mostly low end competition.

So yes, I'd love to have had him last year and this, but I think there have been some exercises in hyperbole in relating the impact of his not playing for us.

That's been the entirety of the McMahon tenure for some. It's an exercise in constant excuse making. The only HC who gets such a benefit of the doubt and it is for two reasons: (1) There is a faction of the LSU fanbase who ARE NOT basketball fans, just LSU fans in general, who continue to wish and hope the guy has success solely to take the contrarian position to the popular opinion among actual LSU basketball fans that Wade should have never been fired, and (2) he's been so bad that people have stopped caring enough to be angry.

The record is the record. And record is a losing record overall, and the worst winning % against conference opponents in the program's history. It also says a lot when your celebrated "good year" was 1 game over .500 (overall) and 9th place finish in the conference, and ZERO consideration for the NCAA Tournament. In fact, LSU only received an auto-bid to the NIT because Ole Miss said no thanks. LSU was the nerd who was not going to be asked to the fat girl sorority formal until another nerd said no and the fat girl was desperate for a date. That's good?

We have people here arguing he should be brought back because with no adversity and a limitless NIL budget he might be able to get LSU to the middle of the pack in the SEC and somewhere in position for a 1 and done NCAA Tournament position. That would have been fine in year 1. It's been 4 years. If slightly above average is your program's goal after 4 years, then the guy running your program needs to change.

The apathy surrounding this program is as deep as it has been in decades. This has been yet another terrible season. The third time in four years LSU has finished at or near the bottom of the SEC. The only reason for optimism was this long waste of time would finally be over and hope for better results with a new coach would return. Keep MM for another season and you kill whatever small support is left. There will be no new season ticket buyers. Long time season ticket holders will continue to cancel. No one will give a shite about the HS signing class...a class where 2/3rds wouldn't even play meaningful minutes next year anyway, if at all. Transfers will see LSU as a dead-end. All for what? Waiting another year to have the EXACT SAME CONVERSATION next year?

Our record with Reed in P4 games is 17-32, I won’t count the game he was injured early in. So that’s a 34.9% win percentage with Reed vs the teams that matter. He doesn’t change anything for us in terms of success outside maybe a couple games here and there. Not a knock on him, with a proper coach he probably develops into a much more impactful player.

Is Basketball using Kelly's S&C Coach?
We seem to have similar problems in both programs.

Not sure about that Sweep Da Leg go back and read Arrows quotes in this thread alone. I think he is launching a coup de'tat to take over control of the McMen and become Mclosers favorite simp!
