LSU is one good coach away from dominance. How long the administration will wait and how much they spend will determine how long it takes to get back.

So we’re at the mercy of LSU’s administration. Fuch.

Yep. Nothing changes until this changes.

It was a good run. I always knew in the back of my head that it had to end, but I never wanted to admit it.

I still remember back in 1999 or so laughing at a friend when he said that LSU would win a natty within a few years.

It was a great run and it has come to an end. The question now is when will it happen again? I’m sure in 1958, most fans would have assumed another title was right around the corner...not 45 years away. Let’s hope that’s not the case here.

It will. Eventually someone will come along that actually puts LSU football first and the dominos will fall.

Yep I’m grateful for saban and miles. They won a lot of big games. I never thought I’d see LSU in a national championship much less win one. Having won two was amazing experiences. Sad the glory days are over

We all forget that 2012 was a damn good team too. Preseason ranked #3. If we don't drop a turd and lose 6-14 at Florida, our only loss would have been to Bama and it's likely we have a repeat of 2011 BCSNCG.

Instead we lose to Florida and Bama, end up ranked #9. Then lose by a field goal as time expired to #15 Clemson in the Chic-Fil-A Bowl. Thanks 4th and Chavis.

We also forget that we were beating Bama 17-14 with 1:34 left in the 4th...

That 2012 team was in the HUNT but got stabbed in the heart.

That whole season was overshadowed by 1.9.12. The players gave their all, but the consensus after that season was that the magic was gone.

The magic was gone because our best player was kicked off the team.

And for every good coach they hired, look at how many bad ones they've hired.

Anything is possible.

Like about 1/2 the other current LSU fans that think LSU football started in 2001 and bitch, piss moan and complain with 8 and 9 and 10 win seasons. See the late 80s-90s and you would love to have the success we’ve had for the last five years.

We also could have won the 'ship in 2007. That was the year we demolished Notre Dame, 41-14 in the Sugar Bowl. We lost to Auburn and Florida, who won the 'ship that season.

I’m good. Both my parents got to see a football NC an numerous baseball NC’s before they went to heaven.
Guess I need to be content.

There is absolutely nothing that points to us winning a championship this year. Anything is possible but it's highly unlikely to happen with our current leadership.
