Seems a recall he did a great job of recruiting at FSU and the alums bought him a lot of good players at A&M. He underperformed with that talent.

This is why they had to fire Woodward so quick.

They were petrified he’d try and hire Jimbo again.

I wouldn’t mind Jimbo as an analyst or in some capacity to be closer to the team, just not as head coach or OC. It’s always a great idea of having experienced coaches around in case something happens like this year. You may need to lean on that experience at some point.

A lot of these radio guys base their opinions upon how friendly of a radio guest the coach has been. They become advocates for the coach, thinking they have an inside source.

Hester has probably interviewed Drinkwitz a few times on his Sirius/XM show. Hence the push to hire Drinkwitz.

Hester needs to listen to the thousands of fans who groan at the mere mention of Dinkwitz's name as LSU coach. It would sap the energy out of the fan base overnight.

I don't see Jimbo as a serious candidate for anything. Kiffin is considered one of the best offensive minds in college football. Don't need or want Jimbo.
