ESPN broadcasts the College World Series.
ESPN fired Harold Reynolds.
Harold Renolds works for the MLB Network.

You'd just as soon ask for John Madden to do LSU football games.

I know. He was the best announcer IMO though.

dumb question. what do they mean by pitching from the stretch?

When baserunners are aboard and the pitcher has to look for a possible steal attempt.

Wow. I thought he was terrible. Hershiser blows him away, IMO.

Especially when Patrick said "Schimpf's home run is the difference in the ball game" when it was 1-0.

The only one I don't like is Ventura; I just expect Nolan Ryan to come running into the scene to drop another beatdown on him.

Well technically it was.

True...I'm just glad he was there to point that out.

I'd rather mute the game and play 98.1 with Hawthorne, but the radio and TV broadcasts aren't synced up just right and it's frustrating.

Sports Sync Radio

I used this last night and worked great. Gotta use 98.1 and not 105.3. Delay by like 5 seconds. Works great. Check it for next year.

I'm "bumping" this question... (posted 6/23)

I think the crew does a decent job... no major complaints. Well, one...

I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but did anyone notice that Mike Patrick told his old "2nd Place Trophy" story last night but he changed the team/coach involved...

2008: I heard a great story... "when the Miami coach got the job, he noticed that the CWS Runner-Up Trophy was being used to prop-open the men's bathroom door in Coral Gables"

2009: I heard a great story... "when the texass coach got the job, he noticed that the CWS Runner-Up Trophy was being used to prop-open the men's bathroom door in austin"

am I correct here? did anyone else catch that?

I am posting this under my friend/neighbors account(floridaboy) who brought this thread to my attention.

Just wanted to let most of you guys know I appreciate your comments about the job Orel is doing during the CWS broadcasts. It's hard to please everyone but I think he does a good job too. However, being his brother might make me somewhat biased

You guys have a great team and first class coach. Even though I went to Bama back in the 80's I was pulling for you guys to win it all.
Congrats!!!

I wish Orel was still consulting the Rangers; he's a great guy and was a dominant pitcher

I liked them. It was interesting to learn the mechanics behind a good pitching delivery and a bad one. I didn't know some of the small moves that made the difference.
