LSU has dominant starting pitchers who have complied huge strikeout numbers.

Historically teams that have made massive runs into postseason and into Omaha have had the same success with strikeouts. Just maybe they will hit enough to keep them chugging a head.

It wasn’t long ago that UCLA won the CWS with like a team BA of like .250 but they won because of 2.5 era and 450+ k’s

This is down year for offense in College Baseball so this could help LSU massively.

I think FSU, UNC, R Kansas are legit after watching this weekend and seem to be shoe ins for the CWS

I don’t know I think having eyanson and Anderson is going to be the pivotal piece. Just have to hit enough and Jay could get to Omaha

That was also in the "dead bat" era when it was tough to hit HRs in the CWS

Given LSU's success at home this year it would be very disappointing for them not to reach the CWS. Once there, it is a different story.

2 great pitchers can carry you a long way. But if that is all you have it also narrows the margin for error. We saw that in 2023. Skenes and Floyd were fantastic in both of their starts. Even still, 3 of the 4 games one of them started were incredibly tight games. And that was with a much more explosive lineup than this year's LSU team.

The first two games of the regional have been encouraging from the plate. Hopefully that continues given whoever LSU plays tonight will be at the end of their pitching.

We already know it’s possible to win. It still has to happen on the field. No theories needed.

Disagree here. We’ve shown we can beat them. Beat them, put them in the losers bracket, and you got a great chance to set yourself up well going forward.

Let simplify this.

LSU has a culture and tradition of winning and excellence few can match.

LSU has really, really good players and are hard to beat.

No other info is needed. It’s LSU baseball and that’s what LSU baseball does.

That’s all.

Honestly, I’d rather play great teams in the first two games where it’s our best vs their best, rather than later where it’s a test of pitching depth. Let our best guys relegate the good teams to the arm-consuming loser’s bracket

I agree. Facing lesser teams without AE and KA would be preferable,
