Some say that Lee could be on the same path as Cody of the Longhorns.

Too few people will just flat out say that both of them have a realistic chance at winning the starting job and leave it at that. Too many people have to act like they are "cooler" because they "know" who will be the starter 6 months from now.
Well, it's worse than that - since LSU has not had a QB go wire-to-wire, for some time, for whatever reason, injury, bad play, etc. So, therefore, it's HIGHLY likely that both Lee and Jefferson will see extensive playing time, and I will not be shocked if each ends up starting at least 3 games.
Maybe Lee wasn't ready in 2008. It's a different season, and he's not a freshman anymore. JJ didn't play like a veteran in 2008, either, and likewise got valuable experience. They both bring something different to the table, and we should be thankful that we have two scholarship players at the position for 2009, who both have a decent amount of experience. Note that we had zero for 2008, and look how that worked out for us.

Really? I mean, obviously it's possible. But I don't really think I'm any more biased for Jefferson than I am for Lee. I think they both have a lot of ability and both have realistic chances to win the job. I just think the odds favor Jefferson at the moment.
Well, the very acknowledgment that you might have some bias, makes me think less that you do, and I have seen more of your pro-Jefferson comments recently. Not that my opinion on the subject matters.
Let me rephrase my statement... "It seems to me that many posters overstate Lee's performance in response to a negative post about Lee". This is obviously understandable. But, it seems that it took on a life of it's own in people really making what I consider distorted claims about Lee's performance last year. Don't get me wrong... there's nothing wrong about taking up for Lee when someone is bashing him.

I started this post almost a week ago.
Still going strong.
Does that make me a damn strong poster?

Ok, it looks as if what I reported got misconstrued! I didn't say JL didn't study film, he attened all the QB meetings and did study film, the question is did he understand what he was seeing?
JL had his difficulties, but just as much as he was off page, so were the receivers. The only receiver that ran correct routes was Lafell.

Are you seriously trying to say it was the WRs at fault for Lee's shitty performances all year?? If I remember correctly we didn't have a single freshman WR out there so I'm pretty sure they knew what they were doing.

That's exactly what I'm saying, with Byrd being the main culprit. They may be upper classmen, but some were JC transfers. So to say they were familiar, no more than JL. My point is there is enough blame to go around without saddling JL with all of it.
First off, did Crowton tell you what plays were called? I think now, so you have no idea who was right
Or wrong.
JL may have had the pick 6's, but he also threw to holes where there was no one, which tell me he is throwing to a spot where a receiver is supposed to be. Why isn't he there? Who's wrong? Without knowing the play and the receiver's options on each play based on the coverage, we have no clue!! My bet,, the receiver ran the wrong route based on the defensive coverage. If your not sure what I'm talking about, the receivers go to the line with 2 to 3 route options based on the coverage of the secondary, he is supposed to recognize the coverage, without an audible and run a certain route.
Until they allow us to wear headset in the stands; which will be NEVER, none of us can truely point the finger of blame. We can only start rumors and listen to BS and try to make sense of it all.

Good point. There were a lot of "meetings" after plays between Lee and the receivers. It did appear to be a mix up of some sort. Also explains why Lafell seemed to be the only guy Lee could see.

Same receivers from the 2007 NC team. The only thing that changed was the QB. Now, you tell me where the problem was....
