Humphries and Nall left LSU ended up playing more in the NFL than the guys that were here ahead of them.

Nall got hosed by Saban. Stating opening day QB.
Team plays bad, backup QB's play bad, and Saban benches the guy he said was the best QB.

I spoke with 2 offensive players who were 2-3 deep on the chart. So they worked with him everyday in the offseason. They both said he was a good QB and he didn't deserve it based on performance alone. He did what he was asked in practice and competed just as much as Lee.

To me it was a move to open the door for either Zach Lee or whatever future QB we sign in 2011. It helps recruiting to show there is nobody standing in the way after 2011 to compete.

Humphries did not go to class. They had to have someone walk him to class when he did go.

I seem to remember that Nall was injured early in Fall practice. Booty and Rohan moved ahead of him. Realizing his potential NFL career was in jeopardy, he decided to transfer.

Man the title of this thread really peaked my interest. And then I read the first post. Was like eating an empty crab. Looks good on the outside but not much on the inside.

You're confusing yourself. Nall was the opening day QB in 1999 under DiNardo and then got benched.

Then why did the coaching staff recruit him? This is your opinion and it doesn't mean shite!

Yes because every recruit works out just as thought.

I doubt you'd say that to his face.

Wish you had the chance though.

Maybe he'd show you.

Is this the criteria now to post? If so, it should be pretty quiet around here.

Did you see the recent picture of Chris Garrett practicing with NSU? If you had you would have seen how tremendously out of shape he is, very pudgy. He is probably going to end up 3rd string at NSU. Face it guys he just wasn't cutting the mustard at LSU. He didn't have the it factor to work hard and get better and compete for playing time. It happens sometimes. It will be better that he left so we can bring in somebody much better to take his place on the roster. He is simply not as good as Barret Bailey even. I'm concerned as well about the future QB situation at LSU but we should be able to get a couple of studs this year and next.

When you get a chance check Garrett's weight. I believe he ballooned about 250

That makes sense, considering how Bailey played before him the past 2 spring games...

Not that it matters much, but I posted this almost a week ago when the board was about to crash over the Lee decision. Probably a dumb thread, but after seeing 275 post about having Chris back on the team, it felt like a good idea to post it.

Carry on.

He did not have his heard in it to compete for the starting job at LSU. It was not going to happen.

You're right. Because there hasn't been a competition for the starting job since Hatch was the starter. Lee got the job because Hatch got hurt. The coaching staff rode Lee despite his horrific play until he got hurt. Jefferson got the job because Lee got Hurt. Jefferson's reign will not end unless he gets hurt.

There has not been a quarterback competition. Garrett never had a shot at starting until the guys in front of him got hurt, transferred, or graduated.

He had zero motivation for trying hard in practice. And, that is Les Miles' fault.

Agreed!! LM put all his eggs in the Zach Lee basket and now he is down to 2 qb's! CG situation was based only on the actions of LM on and off the field!!!

Are we really having a discussion about NSU's 4th string QB? I heard Garrett was behind a true freshmen at NSU, running 4th string. You guys really want him at LSU?
