Is there any shot of us playing Michigan in either NY6 bowl?

I found this online. Texas is currently only 2 spots ahead of WVU and WVU won head to head matchup. I don't understand.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Officials from West Virginia athletic department and the Big 12 confirmed the Sugar Bowl is off the table for the Mountaineers, squelching a brief glimmer of hope that popped up among fans and some journalists with the release of the latest College Football Playoff rankings Tuesday night.

It was understood, for whatever reason, that Texas would go to the Sugar Bowl no matter what before today's games.

Updated OP, but all that matters now is if NW or Pitt win, LSU is out.

1 or both would have to win to keep LSU out?

The way I'm figuring it, LSU needs both to win.

NW wins , Pitt loses
Rose - UW NW
Fiesta - UCF-Michigan
Sugar UGA Texas
Peach UF-OSU

Pitt wins, NW loses

Rose UW OSU
Sugar Texas UGA
Fiesta UCF- Michigan
Peach Florida Pitt

We're almost for sure playing either Michigan or UCF.

Both games are at 11am central, so that kinda sucks.
