So he was an OC and then became an OL coach. That doesn't seem to be a step in the right direction.
I am not sure what happened, but it appears that Bowling Green had a losing season in 2006...he must have been a casualty of that season.

Meyer was there in '03 and '04 I think.

ETA: I'm wrong, but he was the guy that laid the foundation for the Bowling Green offense starting in 2001.

Actually he wasn't, he saw what he had to work with and moved on.

I wouldn't know but I would think that the natural progression, considering his "stats" would be a lateral move to a mid size program...not a regression to OL coach. I understand the salaries may be different but it seems the best position in football would be in an enviroment where your "talents and results" would stand alone....something an OC would provide more than an OL coach.

Nothing is ever as good or as bad as it seems initially. Take a deep breathe, we will be fine. Stud/Gonzo/Les can handle the O if QB is better than last year.

I'm having deja vu to the spring of 08 when they announced Malleveto and we all said the same thing we're saying about Stud.

The problem there was having dual DCs, not that one wasn't competent. Too many cooks spoils the broth.

I'm sure regardless, Krag is still going to have a big part in the offense. He just doesn't have the official title of OC.

I knew nothing about this dude prior to this post. For a last minute OC, sounds pretty good. About as good as we could get at this time of year.

Do you follow LSU football at all? Do you not know the O-line coach?

He is longest tenured assistant coach now at lsu
The kids like and most importantly respect him
He has been with Krang.. and J.J going over plays all summer.
He has worked with Urban Meyer at BGSU, Urban wanted him to go to Utah with him. So must think somewhat highly of him.
He will want to pound the ball with a good line and take shots with play action..
Finally, we have all been concerned with QB play, his Qb at BGSU had the greatest season on record for ncaa. Omar Jacobs 41 td 4 int season. Who is omar jacobs? exactly.
BUT more importantly, prayers are with Coach Krag
