I’ve been trying to figure out the hang up on why he hasn’t seen more outings lately. I mean we are winning so who cares but he was solid in midweek coming into the sec tourney and has been back shelf pretty much the whole tournament season. What’s up with that?

That's a lot of players for a Freshmen All-American team. They could've at least broken it down by first team, second team etc.

It started long before the postseason. Paul would pull Hellmers after two innings in midweek games and then say after the game, “we may need Hellmers on the weekend, only blow through the entire mediocre pen on the weekend except for Hellmers.

Right, but in fairness he probably thought he'd need Hellmers for those two midweek innings and didn't want to burn him on the weekend.

You are confusing production with the idiotic way Maineri and Dunn manage the staff. Hellmers put up very good numbers for a FR starter.
RHP Will Hellmers (Louisiana St.): Hellmers was 6-2 with a 3.41 ERA and struck out 33 with 15 walks.

I mean congrats to Hellmers, Morgan, and Crews, but that list is completely watered down. There are 99 Freshman All-Americans. That's a little absurd.
There are enough players for 6 full teams and some extra.
18- SP

10- 2B
11- 3B
6- SS
16- OF
8- DH
3- Other

Damn Hellmers....he pitched 8.2 whole innings in April and 5 whole innings in May....for a Freshman All American...seems we didn't use him enough in my mind.
