Getting hired as a #1 asst is ALWAYS a promotion from a #2 position no matter where it is. LSU basketball is not LSU football...

Heiar got a promotion almost a year to the day last May. I assume he got a raise but it wasnt mentioned

He’s the number 1 assistant here and the associate head coach. Wherever he goes as an assistant will not be a step up.

Leaving for another power conf asst job would not be so surprising. Hopefully just agent talk because potential ncaa troubles aside he’s a very good asst
