I really wish that we would go under the center when we are close to the goal. We should go with extra linemen and/or tight ends. Tyrion Davis-Price and Curry should be the backs of choice due to their running style.

I want Tyler Shelvin as fullback at the goalline with Ty Davis Price running in the score.

I do miss(a little) the ability to line up in the eye and slam it in. I am thoroughly enjoying us airing it out!

There was a good point made yesterday during the Saints game when AZ inexplicably went for it on 4th down and 2 and went heavy under center to try and run for it. It was stuffed and the color guy said that it is very hard for a spread team that is rarely under center with 2 TEs to execute that suddenly. That they should just stay with what they know and not try and morph into something else at opportune times in the middle of a game.

I was screaming when they went under center near the goal line and CEH got planted into the ground. Stay in shotgun and roll out or better delayed draw with Burrow again.

We finally got away from this and y’all want to go back. Why congest things and bring extra linebackers and safeties in the box?

We actually have a fullback, Tory Carter. I dont know why we dont use him in short yardage. Theres nothing inherently wrong with the I formation. It has its weaknesses, but guess what, so does the spread. One of them is short yardage. I've lost count of all the spread teams we've stuffed on third and one over the last few years.

Didn’t seem smart to have an empty backfield at the goal line. Not against goaline passes but you’re completely showing you hand with a very congested area.

2nd and 1 at the goal and I would like to see an I formation power as well. RPO seems to get stuffed 90% of the time when they bring the house. Sometimes you just have to punch it in with good old fashion dive play.

What I don't understand is why we tried to run it up the middle on 3 consecutive downs on the goal line on the best Def Line in the country?!

It was predictable and AU knew it was coming.

That was straight from the Les Miles playbook.

I don't believe TC44 was in on any of those goal line plays.

Burrow scored a touchdown from the 7 in an empty set. If you have a QB who can run, an empty set doesn't show your hand.
