Hear Me Out...What if Lane Kiffin asked them to do is as a distraction?

What if this was all part of a plan he came up with after the idea came to him a few weeks ago when this all started.
Distraction.
Heading into this Nationally Televised game, with the most celebrities and media ever credentialed for, and also Easton Royal and probably more recruits, the only thing we are hearing about LSU is Lane Kiffin and these Pro Players.
The media loves to find stories to tell and analyze for these games because it is the main event of the weekend.
So instead of them distracting Sam Leavitt about his first time in Baton Rouge, coming off an injury, living up to the hype, facing a tough Clemson defense that has prepared for months for him, etc...
The media is talking about this.
Nick Saban was great at this. He was great at being the story the week of the biggest games so his team could focus and not spin their wheels dealing with the media.
If so, Lane Kiffin really is far ahead of them.

I wondered the same thing...I don't think he planned it out but at some point let the story run away on purpose

That's my point.
The team has not had to deal with the press finding anything else to talk about for weeks. This distraction has protected the team and let them focus on the game while the media ran around in circles losing their minds over it.
Everyone asks why is LSU being picked on while so many other teams went after the 320 others, but fail to realize it's because Lane Kiffin was asked and said directly he would play them if it made the team better.
I think if we don't play them, then I was right. He was using this to distract the media
