Gonna be coming down on Thanksgiving for the Arkansas game. Staying Thursday night, attending the game on Friday, and leaving Saturday. Would appreciate if I could get some insight on what hotels are good to stay at and close proximity to the stadium. Any other suggestions would be great! Thanks!

agree completely...these are all in a nice commercial area near resturants and the campus...the one on nicholson is a comfort suites...

honestly, you are gonna have to get very lucky and pay out the wazoo to get a room in one of these areas, but that is what I would do....

ETA: Bamaland is right, the one on nicholson is a Staybridge Suites....

Yeah it will be me and two other friends. I'm heading down from Ohio. Been a Tiger fan ever since I was young. I am 24 now. I have been saving up over the last couple weeks to make sure I could go to a game. I want the whole experience so I'm willing to come down and take part in everything that I can.

there are actually a couple of rooms at the crowne plaza on constitution for $188...not gonna find a better location at a better price....better book one quickly if you want it, though...

if you are looking to spend less, let me know...

The new hotel on Nicholson is Staybridge Suites and they book up 1 year in advance.

That would actually be a fine price. I want this to be an experience that I'll never forget so I'm willing to do whatever it takes. Everyone is pitching in on the money too so nothing will be out of the question. Just looking for a good time and some LSU football!

Two options:

A: Stay at the hotel on Nicholson and walk to college bars afterwards. Do NOT miss a chance to have a drink at walk-ons after the game.

Option B:
Stay at the Hilton in downtown, it's gorgeous and walking distance from the downtown bars.

Being that it's Thanksgiving everything will be a little less than normal, but still a great weekend. Keep posting here prior, we want you to see everything. Breakfast at Louies etc.

Appreciate all the help! Yeah we will definitely be going to some bars while we are there. One of the main things that I am looking forward to : tailgating. I read all the time about the tailgating and hospitality. Looking forward to it all!

man, I have traveled to LSU every home game for the past several years...I'm tellin ya, if you are ok with the price, book the crowne plaza now or you will regret it...it is rare to find a good hotel within a couple of miles of the stadium this late in the year....

keep looking for something that you like better and if you find it, you can always cancel...
