LOVE wearing my ALABAMA cap in Lafayette. Love the dirty looks I get from the LSU A&M bandwagon clowns.

University of Lafayette, Louisiana Ragin Wannabes.
Dirty looks are just in your delusional brain. Hell y’all aren’t even number two in the state after being blown out by Louisiana Tulane. And by LSU’s former 3rd or 4th string QB. 41-24 blow out to a team that hasn’t been to a bowl since 2013, and their first bowl victory since 2002! Their running backs set an all time Louisiana Tulane rushing record, 342 rushing yards! Y’all must have cheered eveytime a Ragin Wannabe made a tackle!

Couldn’t even qualify for the New Orleans Bowl.

I hope you enjoy every moment of your irrelevance outside of your 5 mile home range. I’ve sat in your stadium twice, and it was over half empty both times. The no shows were lucky not to have to sit through high school quality football.

University of Lafayette, Louisiana blown out by a decrepit Louisiana Tulane team in a Mickey Mouse Bowl game that wasn’t even broadcasted on ESPN45!

Of course an Alabama hat on an arsehole bandwagon clown would be less embarrassing to wear in Lafayette!

At least they are THE University of Alabama and not the University of Alabama Tuscaloosa!

No. You are just bringing out the small percentage of the LSU fanbase that is as stupid as you.

You poor oolala bastards. The highlight of your life is the attempt to bother higher life forms. You didn’t touch a nerve; You tickled my funny bone.

The Lafayette High Ragin Gnats!

Maybe you should put on your Alabama hat and touch yourself, while celebrating being steamrolled by the University of Louisiana Tulane Green Has Beens.

Then we can agree to disagree.

I don't care what the two teams records are. If football is on, and I am in front of a tv, I'll be watching it. I don't care what the teams are.

It's not about participation trophies. For me, it's simply about having more football to watch. Nothing more, nothing less. In a few months there will be no more football until September, and I'll wish I had football to watch.

If you complain about football on, then you are probably just a person who finds anything to complain about.

Don't give me the sob story about your wife. That doesn't have Jack shite to do with this thread. Judging by your cry baby attitude in here, she probably left to find someone who wasn't a beta.

You don't have to care about records in order for my point to be valid that there are too many bowl games.

If you have nothing better to do with your time than watch terrible matchups, because it's "foooootbaawwll, rahh", then congratulations to you. See, I don't care what you watch, or don't watch. I just said these games are crap, because the teams aren't any good. But you, on the other hand, think you can dictate to me what I should want to do with my time, and you believe that watching football is what makes a man.

That's pathetic that you believe that. Period.

On top of that, you are making things up. You said "judging by your cry baby attitude in here"... what cry baby attitude would that be? Saying that you should have to be a good team and EARN a bowl game is crying? Last time I checked, real men had enough pride to want to earn something. But I guess free bowl handouts, and watching football all day is what gives your life meaning. Good for you.

And I didn't give you a sob story about my wife. I gave you a handful of words in response to your childish comment about me preferring to help my wife clean the baseboards. Did you think THAT had anything to do with this thread, genius?

What a joke. By the way, do you think a mother would walk away from her child because her husband wasn't good enough? Nah dude... It takes a cruel person to do that, and that;s just what she did. Good job proving how ignorant you are.

But, by all means, let's end the personal talk right there. Stick to the topic and don't insult people. You don't win arguments with that.

I proudly put in the hat every time Bama puts LSwho? A&M in its place. Got a question though. Who makes the best corn dogs in BR??

You don’t know? I thought everyone knew; it’s your mama. And, she takes a good corn dog too.

I get it now. You’re not a positive person who supports oolala. You’re a negative hater of LSU. You know if you continue East along I-10 you can live in Alabama and make Lafayette a more beautiful place to live!

She doesn’t live in that shithole named Baton Reewge. Considering she is in her 80’s more power to her. Lol

I’m a very positive person BTW. I do have fun giving LSU A&M people hell though. Why? Such easy targets. I don’t live and die sports. Way too many other things in life to do.

It’s all in good fun. Gotta be able to take it if your going to give it

I don’t live there either. And don’t want to, but it’s a great place to visit, especially on Saturday nights.

I actually enjoy talking shite. And, I’m watching my weekend slip away as I nurse a nasty cold. I actually am not offended by corn dog because it’s purely made up BS, and actually started when the Aubies said you could smell the corn whiskey in the stands on the playing field. I actually take a perverse sense of pride in it. And when Laffy Taffy’s try to make a counter argument for UL v ULL by thinking LSU A&M is an insult, I just laugh and tell them that we are a Land and Sea Grant University too.

The one thing I don’t understand is the LSU penis envy and hatred from Lafayette fans. I mean, a Northwestern, ULM, or Nicholls fan would root for their team in head to head competition but generally root for LSU as their state school. I always root for any Louisiana school when they are playing out of state schools.

I even felt this way about Tulane until they beat LSU in the early 70s and Tulane friends and family ragged on me, despite my never ragging on them. Now as far as I’m concerned, you can bulldoze Tulane down and extend Audubon Park across St. Charles Ave.. I feel the same way now about ULL and there Louisiana vision. I think that Lafayette fans embracing Alabama is the hight of ignorance, and now like Tulane I wish them misfortune. This is particularly unfortunate because one of my kids goes there. This feels strange because I used to cheer them on. Now I just want to pull out a can of Raid and spray the little annoying gnats.

So tell me. Why does LSU have such a problem with ul being ul?

Won’t speak for the millions of Tiger fans, but for me there are 2 main reasons:

Education. Wastage of resources through duplication and triplication of resources. It’s not like the state can afford to be wasteful of our limited resources.
1) LSU system: Baton Rouge, Alexandria, Eunice, Shreveport, Medical Centers in New Orleans and Shreveport, and a Law school in BR.
2) Southern University system: Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Shreveport, and Law school in BR.
3) University of Louisiana system: Grambling, Ruston, Lake Charles, Thibodaux, Natchitoches, Hammond, Lafayette, Monroe, New Orleans.

The most obvious duplication wastage is 2 public Law schools in Baton Rouge, LSU and Southern. And 2 public universities in New Orleans, Southern and U of L systems SUNO and UNO.

Dividing public higher learning upon racial lines is just as ridiculous and wasteful as dividing it upon State of or University of.

And second, sports. Louisiana is not large enough to dilute talent among two major schools. This is particularly in football, and to a lesser extent in smaller squad sports like baseball and basketball. For a hundred years football talent was broken into two sections, the New Orleans area in Tulane, and the rest of the state in LSU. In all those years Louisiana schools only won one national championship, LSU 1958. After Tulane’s demise in the 90s, LSU has won 2 and played in a third. 1 every 10 years compared to 1 in a 100. I like this, and I don’t want any school to split the talent level. So far ULL is a third rate Louisiana football power. This is not an insult, LSU is completely dominant, Tulane is a distant second, and the rest of the state schools complete for third.

Even in small squad sports this is true. Look at baseball. Three Louisiana schools have made the final 8 in Omaha. LSU 18 times: 1986, 1987, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1993, 1994, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2003, 2004, 2008, 2009, 2013, 2015, 2017. Tulane 2 times, 2001 and 2005. ULL 1 time, 2000. Each of these schools could have gone more but they are usually grouped together in regionals and super regionals. Only in 2000 did two go together. LSU and ULL. I rooted for both that year, but I never root for Tulane.

So in summation, I only want one higher learning system. Let’s call it the State of Louisiana College, University, Vocational and Techical system.

And I want National Championships for the state. So far in the big three men’s sports, football, baseball, and basketball, that’s LSU in Baton Rouge. And I want Tulane to dry up and blow away, because of its anti LSU attitude. Unfortunately I’m starting to feel the same way about ULL because of their anti LSU attitude.

Finally, I personally have attended 2 LSU system schools UNO (before it left the LSU system for the U of L system) for bachelor credits and post graduate work, and LSU where I graduated. And a U of L system Southeastern Louisiana for post graduate work. I have two children, one graduated from Southeastern and the other currently attends ULL.

I think all 3 systems plus vo-techs should be grouped into a newly created pan Louisiana higher learning system. I want every Louisiana higher learning institution public, private, and religious to achieve excellence. And I want naties in sports except for Tulane.
