Toolame and Oohlala? You will fit in perfectly with that crowd. Just different levels of wannabes with short-man’s syndrome.

Call yourself what you want. Your name is university of Louisiana Lafayette not Louisiana. But without researching your enrollment my guess is that you are not 2 times larger and 33 years isn’t very long except to a child. My point is that University of Louisiana Lafayette doesnt “deserve” to call itself Louisiana over any other state school. Otherwise I really don’t care what they call themselves as it doesn’t enhance or take away from the quality of education or achievement of the school.

I am a big proponent of the idea that if you have a game to play, you should have pride and want to win that game.

However, that is a separate issue from whether or not there should be so many games, in the first place. We've had 5-7 teams make bowl games, because there weren't enough .500 or better teams to fill all of the games.

If you don't see a problem with that, then I can't imagine what else anyone can tell you. Bad teams don't deserve to be rewarded. It has nothing to do with wanting or not wanting to watch football. I don't watch the sausage, egg and cheese bowl, because the teams will be abysmal. That's the point. They need to stop making games that no one is going to watch. Except you, I suppose.

UL Lafayette enrollment: 19,188
UL Monroe enrollment: 8,854

You left out the biggest point. The endowment. Do you know what an endowment is? Dude there’s no comparison. In the UL system,

...YES, I do also.... “USL” has more players on the team than they do in the whole fricking stadium on game days...I played music at one of their tail gate parties...that was like playing at a campground in Henderson.... but then again there were probably more at the Henderson campground... I wouldn’t watch USL if they played a game in my backyard... like “Dey” say in dezzz parts, “frick DEM”....

These two announcers were obviously borrowed from the local Sunday morning swap shop on a weak am station.

Also, with a payout of $750,000, USL will lose money by going to this bowl.

Interesting
By wearing a Bama cap anywhere in the state of Louisiana , you just defined “bandwagon”.

You want me to have a problem with there being football on nearly every night for the next month? That's not going to happen. For some of these teams, getting to 6 wins and bowl eligible is what they play for. Why take that away from them? Again...it's not about you, it's about the players.

Sorry you would rather help your wife clean the base boards than watch two less than desirable teams play. There are a few threads discussing this game, so I'm apparently not the only one watching.

Tulane is going to crush that non-P6 school from an inferior conference.

Kind of how LSU will crush that non-power 5 school from an interior conference.

And we don't give a crap about this game.

First of all, you completely skipped right over the part where I said we've had 5-7 teams put in bowl games because there were too many games.

Secondly, I don't want to hear the lame excuse of "it's not about you, it's about the players". I'm not telling THEM not to care. I would have no problem playing my guts out in a crappy bowl game, if I were on one of these teams. But these obscure bowl games aren't about the players, and you should know better. They're about the sponsors.

I am not into participation trophies. Back in the old 11 game schedule, winning 6 games meant you had a winning record, at least, and even then you didn't have 6 win mid-major teams getting bowl games. You're sitting there calling people figs for not wanting to watch crappy football, but you want to hand out bowl games in the spirit of "everyone gets something".

What are you, a communist?

Rooting for Tulane. They know their place now and the really bad fans from the 70’s and 80’s are dying off.
ETA, Tulane kicking the Ragin Idiots’ arse, 24-7 with10 minutes left in the first half.

As for people watching the game right now, I'd imagine the geographical proximity of the two teams has something to do with it.

let me know how the tv ratings go.

And I will not be helping my wife clean baseboards. She abandoned me and my daughter to go do... Nothing with her life last time I heard from her. I have plenty of things to do that are more constructive or entertaining than watching the battle of turds.

Then we can agree to disagree.

I don't care what the two teams records are. If football is on, and I am in front of a tv, I'll be watching it. I don't care what the teams are.

It's not about participation trophies. For me, it's simply about having more football to watch. Nothing more, nothing less. In a few months there will be no more football until September, and I'll wish I had football to watch.

If you complain about football on, then you are probably just a person who finds anything to complain about.

Don't give me the sob story about your wife. That doesn't have Jack shite to do with this thread. Judging by your cry baby attitude in here, she probably left to find someone who wasn't a beta.

Glad to see the ULL and Tulane fans showed up to support their teams at the Cure Bowl today. I’m sure future bowls will be fighting over them for future games.
