Head coach and recruiting

With their being only 3 paid assistants that can leave campus to recruit I find it outrageous that CPM doesn’t hit the recruiting trail but rather waits till the kids come to campus. Cain and Dunn are the ones beating the pavement. I know this as a fact bc I have very close friends with Cannizzaro’s and it was made very clear that Paul leaves recruiting to others. I find this baffling. I maybe wrong and many other head coaches do the same but I would want the HC at the showcase tournaments not an assistant all the time. Please correct me if I am wrong.

This has nothing to do with Andy it’s just a fact bc he would tell my friends all the time how things went down behind closed doors. This came at a time when all was good and Cannizzaro was beloved at LSU. We need a coach that has the same responsibilities as Cannizzaro did which was recruiting coordinator, base runner coach, and hitting coach. Andy was more than qualified as he still hold the conf record for batting avg and steals in CUSA.

Paul’s management of the series this weekend confirmed he’s just going through the motions.
It’s time for him to step down
It’s time for him to step down

You probably cheated on your wife you douchebag. Andy is an excellent coach who let the moment get to him and he deeply regrets what he did. He has the fire and the knowledge to be a great coach. The guy you heard about at State is not the Andy I know. He is still married by the way. I am not advocating that he takes Paul’s place bc I know that would never happen but when he was at State and crap had not hit the fan I can promise you LSU knew it was only a matter of time before they started to beat us consistently

Your out of your mind if you think he is a bad coach. I would take him in a heartbeat to be the HC at LSU. We would hit better and certainly run the bases better and he can recruit like a mad man. Quit focusing on his embarrassing mistake. I know there is zero chance LSU would hire but he is a damn good coach. I am honestly not sure any high profile coach would come to LSU. Lsu would have to settle imo. If you think I am wrong you obviously have an inflated idea of actual candidates that would take the LSU job much less deal with the unrealistic expectations here. I love LSU baseball more than any sport and follow it more than 99.9% of the idiots in this board and either the top guys are not leaving, are at their Alma Mater, or at a private institution that has built in advantages that LSU doesn’t offer.

My bad. I am done with CPM. We are stale as 10 day old bread. If CPM makes no staff changes it’s just a big FU to the fan base and a pride thing bc he will blame it on injuries. I know CPM is not going anywhere. Getting the top 10 college baseball coaches to leave their posts is not as easy as it sounds. Texas has to settle for their 5 the choice. Let that sink in.
