Looking back retrospectively now that the season is over, I’ve never been so glad to have been wrong about someone in my life.
Obviously I liked him a little more at the end of last season and realized this guy might just have the goods after the Texas win this year. But now sitting here after LSU’s fourth national title, it’s a great feeling to know we got the guy we were always looking for.
I hated the hire four years ago. So glad I was wrong.

Unbelievable. All the flak he took initially. The whole binder thing. People calling for his head after the Troy game. Yet he persevered and delivered LSU back to the promised land.

The Binder lmao. It was all a sick joke. Even the most optimistic Tiger fans were like, "Wait. What? They hired him full time? For real?"
There was simply no way to know Coach O would have a team this good this soon.
Those days seem so distant and remote now. The Matt Canada fiasco seems like it happened a long time ago but it was only 2 seasons back now. Coach O's tenure has been a trip. Just unreal.
