I would say the real downside is we never get to find out if those kids would have improved with the new staff and scheme.
I believe that they would have improved significantly.
I think they were badly coached by Davis and put in a position to fail with Sloan’s offense.

Ignore Davis’ ability as an OL coach for the moment, would be curious to see what things looked like this season with a competent offensive scheme.

I refuse to believe this - our offense and coaching was terrible.
Many of these guys will prosper elsewhere with other SEC teams
We should try to recruit at least some of these guys back - plenty of experience for some of these freshmen and they just need a chance w better coaching for technique and a better offense where the defense can’t tee off on them.

Davis is the obvious one. I'd guess Moore possibly too if he's staying for another year. Mubenga is probably another>
I'd like to see us keep Curne, Adams and Moore if possible. Curne already said he might come back he's testing the market. Maybe Adams is too.

OL was the weak link. No surprise this unit is the one opting out.

maybe that new offensive line coach doesn't coddle maybe he just cuts through the bullshite but in any rate he worked out well enough for Nick Saban not to run him off so he's good enough for me

Their NIL offers likely changed and have not been guaranteed spots or snaps. My guess their agents said to test the waters. Some may have been told you don’t have a spot who knows
