From a strictly passing mechanics standpoint, he was the most polished. Now if he had trouble reading defenses, that I don't know.

I really liked this kid coming out of HS and was really hoping to see him as a future starter. With the youth and depth at QB for LSU, this news is not shocking at all.

Good luck Rettig, hope you land a starting gig somewhere.

Harris and Jennings are both the real deal. They're both really really good QBs and Rettig will be a good QB. That says a lot.

This means Brandon Bergeron is now his favorite QB on the roster.

In a way this is kinda good news....either Harris or Jennings or both must be looking pretty damn good for Rettig to think he'll never play here

Hope the kid doesn't have any hard feelings against LSU, but that's how it goes with QBs

I was hoping Hayden would have gotten the love from Miles as the other Qb’s got, he didn’t. Good luck, Hayden!

I'm just sick of our coaches running off the pocket passers. First Rivers, now Rettig. Can't they see the success they had with Mett under Cam?

Can anyone honestly say that they don't feel relieved to have a QB that prevents Miles from getting that itch to call a QB run?

Miles is not interested in a pro style quarterback he wants a physical athletic QB. I hope he (Miles) is right.

Even if he went with a pro style O Harris would probably have won out he has a strong arm.

IMHO I think Harris is going to be a good QB.

You are actually serious in this thread. I honestly thought you were joking, but you aren't.

Mett has a freak arm and improved greatly under Cam. Harris has the best arm of the current group and will likely end up being the starter sooner than later.

Why does he have to be a pocket passer to play in this system?

I kinda figured this was coming either this year or next. At least he can go to another BCS school, sit out a year, and still have three years to play. Wonder if he will head to Boston College?
