Condon did not know that a walk does not count as an at bat (stats) AND did not know that a runner could advance on a caught foul ball. These and other things have been flushed out while on the air. He should NOT be the voice of any institution, and neither should Hawthorne.

Hanagriff should be in the LSU Football booth, in any combination, and does a solid job at Bases too.

this guy is as interesting to listen to as he is to look at... so please

I dont always have to have every single call and every single name called right after every play... passion and intensity to me are more important.. why the hell do you think 2 people are in the booth to begin with?

geees, some of you would bitch about the guy that happen to replace JH and prob call for him to get his job back.

Hawthorne needs to go

how many calls of great lsu plays has he screwed up in just the last 8 years?

The bluegrass miracle? Yeesh.

It's embarrassing to know he represents LSU.

you never fail to come up with different ways to prove what a douchebag you are.

I absolutley despise you people who continously find the need to bitch and gripe about a guy that has given past 25 years of his life to LSU....
Then have the nerve to call him a douche or and embarrassment.
Id gladly trade you assholes to keep JH for another 25 yrs... I honestly dont know anyone in my personal life that dislikes JH, just a bunch of know it all gripers and bitchers that reside here.

Thanks for documenting what many fans have known and felt for a long time.
Hawthorne has been bad for a long time now.

I agree with TigerLee...Hawthorne does not bother me one bit. He loves LSU and has given his heart and soul to them. I always look forward to hearing the replay of his calls after football games. He makes a few mistakes but to me he is the voice of LSU sports. Gets me excited when I hear his voice knowing we about to kick it off or throw the first pitch.

Why does everyone assume that the replacement has to be from within. They bring in coaches with no LSU pedigree, we can't you think outside the box when it comes to the future play by play man??

Just because a guy has "given" (he's been paid for it) 25 years to LSU, doesn't mean someone can't run their course. He's flat out not good at it.

some people on here also believe that purple turf in TS is a good idea.

Ill just keep on saying and believing JH is as big a part of LSU athletics as the coaches and players.. always will be.

That's fine, but you overestimate his "sacrifice" to the program. If you are getting a paycheck for it, you should also be in a position to be called out if your performance slips. And it has. By a lot.
