It’s part of how we recruit. It’s ingrained in the system. We tell players to come play for us for 3 years and we won’t pressure them to come back once the NFL starts calling. We tell them they will be NFL ready in 3 years by getting former NFL coaches on our staff. They think there’s no reason to come back for their senior season and risk an injury and losing all their money. And nobody can tell them they’re wrong, bc look at all the players from LSU that have succeeded doing this

I guess I'm looking for even and fair comparisons on coaching success with such turn over with the most elite players.

It doesn't say why, it just says that we lead the way in early departures. Champions of the NFL draft board is what LSU is!
Can't blame the players for leaving, they come here to go to the NFL, and as soon as they are eligible and good enough, they leave. They don't come to LSU to play school.

Maybe if we had better QB's, they might stay to play for championships, but until we get that QB, we will never know for sure if they will or not.

Since this board has daddy issues with Bama, here you go.

Bama has the same problems and yet they have no drop off in performance. Must be just an LSU thing huh

I wonder if Brad Wing is the first punter to declare early for the draft.

From the article

Nobody, not even Alabama, loses so many players early.

Stop projecting your daddy issues on this board.

I still think that some of those players would come back if LSU was in the NC playoff system wit consistency.

The decision to stay would be much easier for any player if they felt that the chances of them returning and thus their team being in the NC playoffs was "almost" a sure thing.

Thus is not yet a fact so it is much easier for a player to opt for NOW money.

Here is where I feel that Bama, Clemson, Oh St, OK, and a couple of others have an advantage at this time.
The players can see the "finish line", i.e. the NC Playoffs in sight.

The further rewoved a player sees himself from that, the easier it is for the NFL decision....and for some it is he money of course

LSU is not built to win championships in football. There are too many political hacks jockeying for positions of power in the administration for that to happen. The culture in Louisiana is not conducive to winning. LSU is just a farm system for the NFL. It's just a conduit through which all these great Louisiana athletes can get an NFL contract.

LSU is the NFL's Triple-A team.

Alabama are the Durham Bulls
