How do you people define cocky? IMO I prefer the "cocky" type. I like people who will hit you in the mouth then tell you about it. Mett seems like that kind of guy.. Or least I hope so.

Jesus, have any of you girls watched LSU football before 2000? Tommy Hodson became extremely cocky after his very successful sophmore season and all of the Heisman talk started.

Actually it was after his freshman year when Arnsparger was coach. As a soph. under Archer, he became REALLY cocky. I don't think he would've pulled that shite with Arnsparger.

I know we're talking QBs but Harvey Williams was the cockiest guy on those teams.

Why is Mett considered cocky? Not saying he isn't but I don't recall ever seeing any interviews with him where he was the least bit cocky?

I wonder if people think he is cocky bc of the way him and mo were joking around on mo vs. If they think mett is cocky then mo must be. Playfully talking shite=\= cocky..

RP was very cocky, but I think what is different overall is the fact that prior years it felt like the players took more leadership roles and kept guys in check.

Our offensive leadership has been missing. Maybe Mett can be a leader, thats what we need!!

RP- started one game so to me does not count in my question, but cocky at first, then not so much

So how many games has Mett started to deserve this thread? are you stupid or something?

My definition is more like he says he is going to do something before he actually does the deed. ie win a championship ect.

Cocky is talking bragging prefight/pregame.
Bragging is talking shite after the fact.

I really haven't seen him being cocky.

The difference between cocky and confident is a fine line usually defined by wins and losses. If we win, Mett will become 'confident' from 'cocky'.

Mett is not cocky he is just extremely confident in his talent and work ethic which is something that this team needs
