Exactly, that was the first road game and SEC game for quite a few players last night. We didn't execute very well. The plays were there, even with rough O line play, and we dropped passed etc. We took shots down the field. I actually thought we should have run more in the 4th. We let a desperate team hang around by fumbling the ball. AU was playing for their lives and we were playing a 1-2 team.

LSU fans haven't alawys been this way. The "new" fans are pretty much spoiled brats. They devour all the crap spewed by outlets such as ESPN causing them to believe that they really know the game. Then they inflate their little ignorant egoes by playing games like Madden which makes them think that they could run a football game. Cap all of this by totally unrealistic expectations and you have an uneducated fanbase that squalls like a wet baby when their desires aren't met.

I want the negatigers to answer one question....

Name me one team that was a great spread team offensively and had a great defense?

Most negatigers complain we don't open the offense more. Look at bama... We run the same offense but they have a more experienced QB.

The purpose of this board is to give fans the medium to discuss these issues. It is the same things the fans in the stands at games are saying.

It is not being bad fans, we bleed purple and gold.

It is a discussions of issues!

Bama's peaking to early, we will win that game, no question. I think our fans for the most part are great, if you read, most comments are complaining about those fans, not those fans criticizing!!

1) The Internet also allows trolls from other teams to pose as LSU fans to stir shite. It's lame, but it happens.

2) Yes, there are always fans that just like to bitch. They bask in the negativity.

Problem is MOST of the fans have no clue about the game and only have personal agendas. Last year when JJ had unblocked dlinemen blowing him up it was his fault but with Mett it's the olines fault. The oline has struggled in pass blocking for years. A mobile QB hides that a pocket passer doesn't. That is just one example of the ignorance of the fans.

Last night our fans botched bc we didn't make any changes from 1st to 2nd half... More ignorance! Our fans want the changes to be obvious like 5 wrs compared to running I formation. How fricking retarded is that? Do they realize teams have gameplans for each team? Changing your offensive philosophy mid game just isn't realistic. We DID open it up more in 2nd half, the pass protection was better but at one point Mett was 4-13. We had drops and terrible penalties. Auburn also had 11 guys playing extremely inspired, no way they would quit last night.

Now that's the kind of adult and reasoned response that sets you apart from the intelligent posters.

that's not even close. The QB has more SEC starts yes, but the offense is different. their base offense is based off single back sets, where ours is based out of a traditional I. C'mon man.

no they haven't

with success comes "overzealousness" to be nice

people who don't experience alot of "good", and that can be tons of people in Louisiana because of our history of corrupt leaders and such, well ppl go overboard when they finally experience good because they cling to it because they have nothing else

so when it doesn't go as they want they throw temper tantrums and fire everyone. It's sad.

When LSU was just a Top 25 program it was happiness with a win

LSU being a Top2 program well people expect domination cause they live in un-reality

The best stretch in the history of LSU football has contributed to a very spoiled fan base. It's gotten to the point where fans turn into whiny little bitches if the team doesn't perform up to their expectations (which are not always very realistic).

This! I don't think anyone could have summed it up any better in 2 sentences. Hit the nail on the head!

Bama IMO.Bama is a fine-oiled machine right now. Can't say the same thing for the Tigers.
Bama hasn't really been tested yet. Arkansas is not a very good team and Michigan isn't either. AU is a decent team that struggles on the offensive side of the football.

I wouldn't crown Bama just yet.

Both teams have the same philosophy offensively. Power running games that wear down opponents. So yes they are very similar. Both run single back, I formation, and shotgun. If you can't see vans and LSU are mirror images of each other you just have no idea what you are talking about.

Year in year out LSU and Bama have 2 of the best defenses in the country.,,offensive philosophy is part of the reason.

Guess what? We didn't play bama last night so it doesn't matter. Finely Oiled machine I guess If We played a Michigan team who was clearly over rated that had there best running back missing, A Arky team that has lost to ULM and Rutgers, without there QB is Impressive then you are easy to impress. Im not.

I guess, BUT look at what they have done to those teams. DOMINATION. AU is NOT good at all. They got crushed by Miss st. and SHOULD have lost to ULM at home. LSU just played real shitty last night and had the fortune to win. I assure IF they play like that against Bama it will NOT turn out good.
