I think we are going to surprise you. A win at UK is pretty unlikely but I think we give them a game. And I think we can beat Tenn at home, just need to play our best.

The same thing can be said for UK and Tenn. LSU has been playing very good basketball. Every team will have games like LSU did against Mizzou. Games where the outside shot isn't dropping, ball just seems to bounce the other way, games where nothing seems to be going right. It's the championship caliber teams that find a way to win. There are no pushover teams in the SEC. Every team has good players and are capable of beating another team if that other team isn't playing well. The really scary thing, Tenn is as good as they will get. Of there top 8 players per min/game, there are 4 jr's, 2 Sr's and 2 Soph's. LSU is improving and will continue to improve as the season progresses. LSU's top players per min/game there are 4 Fr's, 1 soph, 2 Jr's and 1 Sr. When this LSU team puts together a full game on both ends of the court, I don't think there's a team in the Nation they cannot beat.

I don’t think we will get embarrassed by anybody. A UK win on the road is unlikely. We can definitley beat Tennessee. Especially at home. We played outstanding defense last night, and weren’t sloppy. Just missed shots. Had we had a usual shooting game we win that game by 25 points. Missouri was a bad game that we managed to win. Really haven’t been playing bad if you think about it. One game doesn’t dictate anything for me.

Then you haven’t watched college basketball. It’s shocking people think LSU is the only consistent team. Duke was supposed to be the best college team in years...here they are at the end of January with 2 losses. How?

How did UT beat Bama by 2 even though Bama shot atrocious from the FT line? How was Tennessee down by 6 with 1 minute to go against Vandy? How did Kentucky lose to Bama?

I hate to agree with you Count, but I do and here’s why:
UT has big, fast physical guards that can post, shoot and defend. They will cause problems for Waters by stopping penetration into the lane. Then they will face guard on the perimeter. You stop Waters right now, you have all but guaranteed yourself a win. Mays and Smart are not playing well. Mays is something like 4-23 his last ; games from 3. That’s not gonna cut it.
UK is playing on a different level. They are very long and are a GREAT defensive team. Other than Waters and Taylor, we play small. It’s gonna be a bad match-up against a great coach with a team that has more talent than the Tigers who are starting to peak.

I don't know why people keep saying LSU played bad against A&M. The only thing they didn't do well was shoot. They were rebounding well, defending well, not turning the ball over much, and they were getting lots of open looks, but the ball just wouldn't fall... Yet they won by 15, on the road.

I know A&M isn't very good, but Tennessee barely escaped Vandy on the road, and just lastnight Purdue had to go to overtime to beat a Penn State team that is now 7-14 and 0-10. Those are just recent examples. There's more that anyone could dig up, if they want to.

We've had some other performances of late that you could say weren't very good. But those are normally losses for most teams. LSU keeps winning.

If they play like they did against A&M and the shots start to fall, they'll be just fine.

The one thing I might criticize from the A&M game is that LSU took too many threes. As I said, they got plenty of good looks, and they just weren't falling, but I think you have to try to get more high percentage shots, instead of continuing to jack up the three. Skylar Mays, in particular. I want to see him drive to the basket, because he can make plays at the rim and he can draw fouls. I like my chances with the best free throw shooter in the conference.
