What was the perception before and what's the perception now?

Before we were the idiots that wanted to fire Les Miles now we’re the idiots that fired Les Miles and replaced him with Ed Orgeron.

The national perception of the program has going down since O was hired and that can't be argued. If it's justified or not is still to be determined.

First we thought that LSU was a Top 5 job and deserved a Top 5 coach. Then we realized Joe Alleva and Fieldon Alexander were in charge.
Now we are just pissed about accepting the fact that is is barely a Top 20 program now.

Our fan base no longer believes in the team/program.
The turnout on gamedays reflect that.

before? : head coach is a bisexual, a oddball and who eats field grass likely due to head injuries in his college + high school years as a athlete.... Oh I forgot Ls Miles lost to Ole Miss 2009 in Oxford unnecessarily.
perception now? : LSU roared back from a deep hole last season to face Notre Dame on a New Years Day game. Lost by one play. Field goal kicker for LSU ? High School.

Don’t you put that on me. I would have NEVER hired O.

My enthusiasm and dedication took a hit when they decided not to can Les at the end of the season. I hung on to hope with all the talk in the off-season about a renewed passion from Miles and commitments to change the offense, etc. Fast forward to Lambeau Field after spending a lot money to travel (great trip except for the game)to see that absolutely nothing changed...the same ole, same ole...that was the point I just stopped caring. The Coach O hiring further confirmed that we are content to be a run of the mill program but I wasn’t surprised. So, I always hope for an LSU win, I just no longer “expect” it.

What should be the perception be for a SEC football program that got bent over by Mississippi State and spanked, kicked it the balls by a SBC team, and didn’t have the nerve you go for it on fourth down and 6 inches in the bowl game??
The program appears to be at a lower level than what it was in 2015. Hopefully, that can get turned around this coming sept.

LSU fans have long been considered the worst fans in college football. That isn't going to change any time soon

No we have not, quite the contrary actually. Saturday Night in Death Valley has alot to do with the fans. Sadly, it is no more due to many things, especially the product that is on the field.

I cannot wait to watch those idiots react when “O” is successful
????????. I am betting they will never admit they were wrong

Considering you and people like you continue to lower the expectations, it’s hard to know what you won’t consider a success. LSU could go 6-6 and your ilk will be here saying in light of how difficult our schedule was, it’s really amazing Orgeron was able to win 6.

Many of us suspected that those in charge had little interest in competing for championships. These suspicions were confirmed without a doubt by the hiring of Ed Orgeron.
