Nuss is plenty enough of an athlete, and yes he could’ve scrambled more, but it’s his arm that’ll beat you. That OT throw against Ole Miss…

I agree, some of it was design, some was personnel and some was just stubbornness.

For LSU TO GET TO THE PLAYOFFS HE HAS TO USED HIS FEET!

Right, there were a couple of times he could have run but like you say that’s not the difference in our success.

I don't think you know what the word scramble means.

He left a pile of first downs on the field not being able to tuck it and get 3-4 when it was wide open.

I'd say he left some. Probably not as many as people here sometimes believe. Maybe you could give us some links to YouTube videos where that happened. I do hope he can tuck and run more often this season, though.

Need to balance the playcalling. That’ll go a lot further than Nuss running

Better run blocking and schemes will help that

I’d like to see Durham on the receiving end more often.

Has to touch the ball 215-220 times at least.

We play Jackson over Durham!

Jackson had 44 carries all year, thats 3rd best and only 10 more than Nuss. Durham had the most carries on the team with 140. Williams may be who you meant; he had 117.

So these algorithms are crazy my Facebook feed just had Nuss scrambling highlights! Kid can run if he wants to! If no JB9 or JD5 but he is good enough for 5-10

He touched it 168 times last season in 12 games (this includes the bowl game) (did not play in the opener) and had limited carries in a few games. I suspect he will hit that number barring anything unforeseen.

I heard he went to Vietnam and was chasing chickens for coordination.

The real question is: has the o-line learned to run-block?

Having Durham rush for 1400 yards is WAY more important than Nuss getting 10 yards here or there.

Tuck, run, get first down, and get down. No hero ball. Better than getting brutalized on a coverage sack.

That’s because we finally figured out we had to abandon giving him the ball! Yet we still didn’t play Caden ! When we did the run game god a lot better! But will still didn’t have that deep threat

He was the top ball carrier in two games, Nichols and South Alabama. He had 0 carries more times than he had 7 or more carries. Williams was the guy he split time with, mostly, and some of that was because of pass blocking.

He had the most carries of any player on the team, and early in the season, they went light because he had 2 dislocated toes.

Oline is the weakest position group on offense

I don’t know if it’s accurate to say Oline is the weakest position group. I think it’s just the position group with the most unknown ability. There are some absolute studs on that line. They are just young and or haven’t played together. For all we know, by 3 games in they could be one of the top lines in the country.

I saw an interview with Klubnik at Clemson where he said the biggest deal was learning when to run. It took him a year of starting before he let loose.

I see him doing enough. 1 or 2 first downs a game would be huge.
