“The wheels were about to come off LSU football“

Right, that must be why we were 9-3, 5-3 in a 12 game season with a more productive O than we had 3 yrs later. All those top 5 National recruiting years and a NR 2015 really shows LSU was taking its last breath before sinking to a sub .500 team.

Coach O has done a good job, but acting as if 5-3 in the SEC or 10 wins is anything special for LSU football is strange cause the guy we fired 3 yrs ago did that and more on a fairly regular basis.

Who is this “Ben” guy? Why is he allowed to post such nonsense? Every thread I read on here he comes in with his ridiculous “facts” and anytime anyone slightly disagrees with him his retort is always name calling.

Can you point to where I've cursed at people in this thread please?

You told me to stop posting a particular number that offends you for some reason. I merely responded to you.

The numbers I posted are from the NCAA website so if you are offended by numbers too maybe you should get in touch with them and let them know that you're offended by their stats.

Used to do it on a more regular basis. His last 2 years were sub 10 wins seasons. He was trending down and showing no signs of getting better starting the next year 2-2 before hitting the meat of our schedule.

Whether people want to agree or disagree, O is trending up win wise. 6-2, 9-4, 10-3. He just HAS to keep trending up.

2015 was a 10 win season. Theres very little if any reason to believe we lose to McNeese

Also I believe if O started the 2016 season we finish with exactly the same record. And that Les would of most likely ended up with exactly the same record O did the final 8 games of the 2016 season.

Who’s talking numbers? I’m specifically talking about how you always resort to name calling and other low brow methods like that when someone simply disagrees with you even in the slightest about anything. That is the sign of someone with an inferiority complex. I’m not saying that you have one, just pointing out that that is a behavior exhibited by people with an inferiority complex.

Went from 5 losses to 3 losses.

Went from 4 losses to 3 losses.

One is "trending down" the other is "trending up". There's absolutely zero logic in that.

So trending up is winning the non playoff bowl game and finishing 4th in the sec.

Got it.

Although I agree with McNeese, I disagree with 2016. Thats a huge assumption.

Yeah, thats the very definition of trending up.

9-4 to 10-3 is up.

a 10 win season to 8-5 is trending down.

Theres really no arguing that.

What is 8-5 to 9-3 then? Because these were Miles' final two full seasons.

This is what you said:

Now you want to include his final 3 seasons though?

His final 2 seasons he was on an upward trend. 8 wins to 9 (10) wins is up. You literally just said as much for Orgeron.

Even if you include 2013, it wasn't a downward trend unless you ignore the fact that LSU's easiest game in 2015 got cancelled.

There is logic in that. You have to look at the whole body of work. You cant just take 2 years from ech and match them up because 2 years is 100% of O's being head coach and just 20% of Miles.

That’s pretty disingenuous considering we were 9-3 with McNeese being the missing game.

You said his final 2 seasons were "trending down". 8-5 to 9 (10)-3 is not trending down.

I'm sorry.
