I know the whole history but he did make the correct pick. We could have Tom or Jimbo.

He did give us coach O and will Wade.

we WOULD have either Tom or Jimbo if it was Alleva's choice

K. Go thank him. Have a good day.

Not yet, but I'll ask the young men at Duke whose lives were ruined (in part, thanks to Joe) to thank him.

and the football facility upgrades.

Is Alleva the guy that suspended Will Wade because Dick Vitale incomprehensibly blabbered something on TV?

I believe it was because the coach refused to meet with him.

I really could care less about former coaches and AD's
College athletics is fluid and as AD you have to be in tune with the landscape around you.
Alleva was not and often times he was reactionary instead of forward thinking.
He went through Trent Johnson and Johnny Jones before getting that hire somewhat right.
The football fiasco never ended as Miles kept hanging on after flirting with Michigan, flirting with Arkansas, refusing to change the offense, botched Chavis dealings, hurricane fiascos, board nixing Fisher hire, played by agent with Tom Herman, ended up with a binder and O that if he was convinced was the person leading up to this could've stuck to his guns and called it immediately.
Alleva has improved facilities but baseball and softball were already on the drawing board. Ignored PMAC is the only real gripe with facilities.

Not an Alleva fan but suspending Wade, in all likelihood, saved his job and kept him here.

Do not give that man credit for this. He made us look like a clown show through the process of firing/not firing/firing Les then through a coaching search where he couldn't land either of the guys he wanted then settled on the interim guy. During the Wade debacle he made poor PR choices at every opportunity. Orgeron has been fantastic growing year by year but Alleva is not the reason nor did he have some special insight into this being a possibility.

I thanked him a few weeks ago and got downvoted into oblivion.

LSU is in muuuuuch better hands with Woodward as AD, than Alleva. Woodward wants to win at the highest level and is not playing around.
