Their linebacker play was a solid as I have seen against us in a while. I don't know if that's a testament to Aranda or just the good quality linebacker a good big ten team has.
Their kicker may win the groza ... That dude can flat out kick
And their qb is exactly what we need ... A game manager. He's not going to win awards but he's solid... Their tight end was very good

I congratulated every Wisconsin fan I ran into after the game and told them they deserved to win. Really great fans in my opinion. Everybody I met up here was first class.

Football is the ultimate team sport. The OL, DL, LB's, and DB's all need to be in sync and play as a unit. Something as basic as where to line up relative to your teammates can be a challenge in week one.
So a team with relatively inferior talent can win when they all buy into the program and play as a team rather than individuals.
And Wisconsin does have a handful of NFL caliber players on its roster.
Specifically, I think your OL had a really bad day. The icing on the shite cake was the dirty hit to end the game.
On D, you guys were stellar and did just as you should have: prevented an uneven offense from getting in the end zone.
Game ball should go to the guy (or girl?) on the strength and conditioning team who got our portly kicker to shed 25 pounds and take football seriously, lol. Gags saved the day for us, obviously.

Wisconsin deserves no credit. The only reason they won is because Les is a moron. They are an awful team with awful players. They didn't deserve to be on the same field as LSU

I love all the "we should have won" posts. You guys should have lost the previous opener to Wisconsin as well. This one you clearly should have lost. You only had a chance because Wisconsin failed to close it out and let you squeak back in. That game was a laugher if you remove 1 minute in the third quarter. Give Wisconsin some credit, they earned it from LSU.

Their QB threw 2 actual picks.. one in the end zone..

Harris threw 1 real int. a really bad one.. but that guy threw one in the end zone.. his tight end was really the difference.

I will. They are a bunch of 2 and 3 star guys brought up thru a system, coached up, disciplined, tough, and prepared. They do what they do, and although less talented, win a lot of games.

Yes, they are a quality team. With a real coach, LSU would have won by at least 3 tds.
