I'd love to see that paired with a DOMINANT running game; that's just my opinion. You can say it's been fine all you want, but I still say- just imagine if we could run at will too. We haven't yet, and with Fla, Auburn and Alabama down the road, I don't see any signs that we will on them.
When you are passing for 430 yards offense per game you don't really need to. and yet, LSU is still AVERAGING 130 yards per game on the ground. That's pretty good when you consider they are getting over 400 through the air.

anyone who says this should lose posting privileges for a month.

what a dumb thing to say. This might actually be the dumbest thing I have read on here so far today.

#1 in pts per game, but behind Oklahoma in most others, yds/play yds/game tds/game etc,
OK has played no one. And Kansas on Sat. Please...

But, but, but we don’t lead the nation in rushing yards on a 3rd and long on our side of the field when we have 1 timeout left in the 3rd Qtr on Saturday nights after 7pm.
Seriously, points are the only stat that truly matter. Who cares how they get on the scoreboard, just as long as they keep racking up.

There was a moment in the Northwestern game where a few of their defenders got hurt and i was like "oh could they be faking it to slow us down? is that real possibility now?"

Two things LSU fans aren't used to seeing:
1) An explosive offense that doesn't take its foot off the pedal
2) A soft, weak defense that gives up big play after big play and can't tackle on top of all that.

Let’s forget the smoke and mirror games, just look at Texas and Vandy. The average is 30, wanna bet after Fla and Aub it will still be 30 or more?

Texas is one of the best offenses in the country
Vandy only scored 24 points.
Auburn and Florida don't have top end offenses.
I think the average will be under 30 after Florida and Auburn.

Sometimes the easiest conclusion is the best.
I would love to hear your mental gymnastics to prove they aren't.

I think the stats are definitely inflated until we play a defense with a pulse. It definitely helps that our defense is letting teams score more points and thus keeping our starters out there longer compared to other teams (Oklahoma, Bam, OSU)

LINK
LSU has given up 2 rushing plays of greater than 20 yards.
LINK
LSU has given up 12 passing plays of greater than 20 yards.
opposing defenses have run a total of 271 plays against LSU. So please, tell me, where exactly is this defense giving up "big play after big play"? Because I am not seeing it.

lol what?
the defense gave up 3 points to Ga Southern, 37 to Texas (who last I checked is a top 15 team), 14 to NW St (including 0 in the second half) and 24 to Vandy. And bear in mind that the backups played most of that second half so in reality the starters only gave up 17 to Vandy.
I swear, I wonder what percentage of LSU fans actually watch LSU play.

LSU has given up 12 TDs and only 6 are in the redzone. Thats 6 Tds over 20 yeards, and since GSU didn't score a TDs, thats 6 in 3 games.
That also doesn't include big plays that set up TDS.
Our biggest weakness has been giving up the big play. IF LSU can eliminate these mistakes or limit them the Defense will make a big jump fast.

Lol well there was a total of 38 in the vandy game which kept our offense out there longer. What I’m saying is our first string offense is out there much longer than other teams and our offensive stats are definitely inflated compared to other top 5 teams who’s starters are usually out by then
Posted on 10/3/19 at 1:27 pm to KevinFaulkDaGawd
Our starters have had to play 2 whole games where as OK, OSU, bama starters haven’t even played a full game yet

1 whole game. Brennan played at least a quarters against Vanderbilt, Georgia Southern and Northwestern State. Joe was out in the Third Vs. NWSU and GSU.
For reference, HUrtz Played into the 4th Quarter vs. Houston and UCLA. And into the 3rd against TExas Tech and South Dakota.
