Happens to national champs all the time. The assistants are at peak market value so its a "now or never" type deal.

Ohio St wasn't raided in 2014 either. They expected to lose Tom Herman after that year anyway (it was his 3rd year

Ohio State has lost exactly what LSU has lost: their PGC and their DC and some analysts.

They did promote an analyst to replace the PGC, but I don’t think he got the same title.

You’ve only lost two coaches and some analyst and everyone you lost is getting a promotion so I don’t see what the issue is.

Decoster & Meatball both recruited for LSU In the last calendar year

Decoster was TE Coach. Meatball was recruiting in California just last week. In fact a 22’ kid he was recruiting got an offer yesterday.

LSU lost a DC to a pretty good P5 school and a PGC to the NFL. The rest are analysts. How many schools announce when an analyst leaves for a full time position job?

Decoster was an analyst filling a role as tight end coach. He went to Old Dominion to be a real tight end coach.

I personally thought Meatball was a good coach and hated to lose him. But he was roundly despised on this site, and I’m not sure what his role was going forward.

Was he getting his job back? I have a hard time believing he was stepping back in at DL, otherwise I doubt he would have left.

Who knows. The answer may be if Bill Johnson stays or not.

What's the total staff and players that we need to replace this year. Has to be another record.

It’s weird that you are getting defensive over this, but i would guess it is always announced when an analyst leaves for a full time position. Especially at big time schools where beat writers are plugged in 365.

LSU lost two position coaches too. As I said Meatball & Decoster we’re both recruiting for LSU.

They will be replaced obviously, but people keep down playing the little guys. You couple losing them with both coordinators, and that is a lot of disruption on the staff which could be troublesome as they learn their new roles & work together. It’s also more stuff on O’s plate, which means less time recruiting & coaching.

Just something to keep in mind. The little guys matter. It’s no coincidence that with the addition of more staff, LSU has improved their standing & brand nationally.

O playing chess while the rest of football is playing checkers.

He knew Ensminger was already going to change to the spread and would be great at it and that Joe Burrow was going to be great and win a heisman trophy. He knew Burrow was going to leave but didn’t want his OC to be poached so he hired this guy that no one knows and made it seem like he is the sole reason for the offensive change then BOOM at the end of the year someone takes this random dude while Ensminger is still here to continue the train. All of this was in the binder lol.

It's weird that no one can have a discussion without getting told their being defensive or pissy or whatever. Some of y'all, particularly you Lester, just like to argue like a 12yr old girl it seems.

Now lets address your comments:

Right. But you're not tuned in to every other school so you don't hear about it. You have no idea how many staffs lose analysts or assistance on a yearly basis.

You lost 2 recruiters. Neither were full time position coaches.

You or I had no fukcing clue who those "little guys" even were until they were leaving. You don't think O will be able to fill those spots considering they're all banking their time at LSU for higher paying full time jobs?

Just something to keep in mind. The guy that put all of those "little guys" on staff is still here. That same guy has connections at ever level of football.

This is some chicken little shite even for you, Lester.

So this is why you are being defensive. I see. You think I am being a “chicken little”?

You can’t read or comprehend. You skimmed over my posts and assumed I was complaining about something, and I never did complain about anything. I’ve actually said numerous times that this is a good thing.

Some of you clearly do not understand roles, that is all.

You say “so they lost two recruiters”... lol, you do know there is a cap on how many coaches can recruit, right?

Again, these are important roles.

Ok?

You do realize my first post in this thread was me asking what situations are being compared to this one, right?

I don’t have any idea, which is why I asked

Speak for yourself. At any given time I can rattle off 6-8 of LSU’s analysts.

Where are you getting that I don’t think he’ll be able to fill those positions?

I’m curious again, what you actually thought you read vs what I actually said. You are being defensive, and being as dumb as you are, that’s a bad combination lol
