during their first year before? What are the chances of too much confusion reigning from the gradual transition of offensive philosophies?

my guess is around 16, maybe 17%. Although expert studies show it to be more around 17.5%

This would be a valid question if our offense was able to be considered "decent" last year.

I'm really confused, I know that, and we haven't even decided on anyone.

A non-decent offense wouldn't have helped bring the team to an 11-2 record. I would say we're definitely an above-average offense. The execution was lacking sometimes, but they did better than most of the nation.

I've always thought that in crowtons first year our offense excelled because he didn't use his whole offensive scheme

Using your criteria, 0% since we haven't had a "decent offense" since 2007.

definitely above average?? no, with 120 teams average would be teams around 60th in the nation...LSU was not in that category

fify

This question isn't relevant in LSU's case. We didn't have a decent offense. Decent running game, maybe. But not a decent offense.

Offense VS which conference?
I'm not saying LSU's O couldn't be better, but too much is read into this.
aTm was #33 or 34 in total O and those stats didn't help much vs SEC.
I'm sure there are 50 more examples I can't be bothered to look up.
Just look at some of the weak teams in top 60 and then try to justify your dissing.

I wouldn't call LSU's 86th ranked offense decent, so your question has no merit.

What is this "decent" offense of which you speak?

A new OC can be a problem if they place more importance their system over adapting it to their team's talents. i.e.(for example Rantards) Spread coaches who take over a team with nothing but talent to run pro style or power offenses (see Rich Rodriguez)and they will run THEIR SYSTEM regardless of whether their team can do it and say, "As soon as we get the right kinds of players we will have success".

The stats from last year prove you are wrong.

No, no they didn't. Our offense was terrible.
