We will eventually become UGA west. A school in a state that is LOADED with talent with no other really instate threat to recruits, but will lose recruits to neighboring states and continue to miss the SEC championship game.
the class we are bringing is is ridiculous so don't consider us that yet. LSU fell off in recruiting these last few years which is why I think we are having the problems we are having. I think Miles realized that and brought in two excellent recruiters. If Ed and Steele stick around we will should get really good again.

Bottom line, Miles is the reason we are a good team. He is also the reason we will never be a great team.

The talent has been here. when we run into a team as talented as us, we can't depend on game planning and coaching to the be the "X" factor.

I stopped taking him seriously when he said that we needed to move to the Big 12 because of Saban.

Whenever somebody criticizes Les and the program, the great football minds on this board jump in a thread and start screaming about fat mindless assholes sitting in front of their monitor typing ignorant shite because they're not associated with LSU.
Well...when former players(and there have been numerous) come out and voice displeasure they just get labeled as disgruntled players...in other words there is no qualified person in this world that can criticize LSU football

Then how did we take Bama to OT last year with Anthony Jennings?
The Miles bashers hate this question, and never reply to it. Yall know the answer, you just can't say it.

I would still like to know exactly what happened in the lockeroom before the LSU-Al national championship game...

I'm considering the fact that LSU wasn't built to make a run this year. Really young defense unproven QB, unproven Receivers
still an unproven qb, LB departures will mean true freshmen starters, and a WR crew that will lose dural and keep dupre and a host of other unproven wr's, we lose our top two DB's to the draft as well.
so again, this will be another team somehow built to make a run even with all that youth at critical defensive positions? the narrative is being recycled over and over again isn't it?

I thought all of this melting would be done by Monday afternoon... How in the frick have people not moved on? There is a fricking game on Saturday. We got our arse kicked by a better team that has owned us for the past 5 years. fricking deal with it and stop posting stupid fricking threads when every random melt thought pops into your mind. I mean fricking seriously. We all get it, we were all upset at the loss. For the love of God, stop posting these fricking threads!
Amen

There is always going to be that group on this site and the money people who are satisfied with 2-5 losses a year. Yes I am old enough to remember Archer and Hallman, but this is not the same LSU as it was 25 years ago. LSU is a national brand and we have a subpar head coach.
I am so happy that former players are outing Miles for the coaching fraud that he is! So what if he is nice and can recruit? Did that help the other night or the 4 previous games versus Bama? This is CHARLIE MAC part II and he was fired at a younger age than what Miles is now!

We will never get over it until we beat bama or win a NC

That sums it up. You are 100% correct

Bottom line is Les will have the same game plan before and throughout every game LSU will ever play under him. It's just a matter of if LSU has the better athletes to over power the other team even though they know what's coming. And it works 90% of the time.
But when teams have equal or better talent and a coach that can game plan against what everyone in the county knows what's coming, then it will be a loss.

LSU has taken some time to recover from the 2011 and 2012 Mass exodus on Defense. LSU's D hasn't been the same sense, we sucked in 2013 and 2014, we are better this year but lack depth. Next year's freshman class is going to be ridiculous on the defensive side of the football. WE already have 5 Dlineman coming in, we are expecting to get a couple more. We already have 2 linebackers coming in we are expecting to get more, we have secondary guys coming in too. We should have 3+ 5 star prospects. (1 CB 1S 1 DL) hopefully more. This year's class may be one of the best ever to come into LSU. Look at the youth we have on defense and the fact that we are bringing in 5 on the Dline next year. When we have Godchaux, Key who both look good. We will likely have 8 to 10 guys rotating on the defensive line, who could start at any SEC school.
We are going to be really good up front on Defense next year. Even if Ed O leaves for another job, We may have a 2011 level defense.

We took Bama to OT last year because our D last year was able to hold them to 13 in regulation. We were nowhere close to that this year.
I love the way the Les defenders find a way to claim that anyone concerned about the direction of the program is just a Les hater with an agenda. Mawae, Webster, Williams, etc... These guys all put it on the line for LSU and still bleed purple and gold. How their opinion is belittled by numbskull keyboard ninjas is truly sad.

we lost, let that sink in

anyone who thought this team would be undefeated this year is foolish. everyone praising bama should look at their record and notice one loss. we should have played better and coached better but a loss is a loss. even the great saban has lost a game with a roster of the best talent in the country.

The youth issue gets addressed by getting more 5 stars in the trenches and at linebacker allowing this team to get ahead of the development curve. We need a lot of high 4s and 5s along the trenches to win these kind and dominate opponents. That's really the only way. You can point to other teams and their styles, but only two teams that were in the CFP last year are still in position this year.
Ohio St. and Alabama and they are big and talented in the trenches.

But but but we lost....as a Miles supporter you can't hang your hat on win and losses only when it suits your argument. Bottom line is we've lose 5 in a row to them.
