It most certainly did not. JRUSS did not have accuracy issues.

got to agree with Rick here, Russell was accurate, with a cannon.

We've had other great QBs but I'd put Russell up there with any of them.

I just dont understand how one of the most accurate qbs in lsu history gets this label of not being accurate on TD. Its just another bullshite myth on here.

Accuracy can't be coached. Nobody can make you know when to let go of the ball, how to point your arm the right way, and how much muscle to put behind it. And the shite isn't easy.
Occam's Razor: The simplest explanation is usually the correct one.

Recruit QB's that have demonstrated proven accuracy in high school.

Recruit real QB's, not "Great Athletes" that played QB in high school simply because they were the best athletes on the team and who were basically glorified running backs behind Center running a simple "One Read" Offense.

If that one read wasn't open, they took off running.
They get to LSU and are overwhelmed by Cam Cameron's playbook. The learning curve is too steep and they can't handle it mentally until they're in their 3rd or 4th season.

I think Miles is finally beginning to see the light (Or somebody has pointed it out to him) and it's reflected in the new found interest in offering scholarships to "Drop Back Passing QB's" that have shown an ability to throw the ball and some proficiency in reading defenses with their high school teams..............

This isnt 100% true. There are changes in footwork and throwing motion that can improve your accuracy.

But yeah you cant go from being horrible in accuracy to Joe Montana, but you can be coached to improve your accuracy some.

Golf carts are slower than our receivers so it threw his timing off

FWIW, its easier to hit a slow moving target than a faster one. A majority of this board could hit a golf cart (maybe not down the field, but a reasonable distance away). A majority of this board would miss a speedy WR by a long shot.

I dont care what the outcome is as long as the best player takes the field for that play, drive, quarter, game, season. Miles has a tendency of putting the guy out there that gives him the best options rather than putting the guy who puts the team in the best positions.

Semjackass, you have toned it down a bit but you still are a joke. Miles is not recruiting any more "Drop back passing QBs" than he ever has. And your code word "Great Arhlete" does nor mask what you truly mean. WHen will you people get it in your thick skulls, it has not been the QBs at LSU, it has been the system and the failure to adequately develop the QBs regardless of type. I guess you would turn down Deshaun Watson, Clemson's QB for Jake Coker, Bama's QB last year.

Miles has recruited pocket passers all along. None of them have been coached up as have none of the dual threats. But those with agendas like you want to blame it on the dual threats and a lack of recruited pocket passers. And you guys are the only ones who want a specific type QB rather than just an excellent winning QB, regardless of type. I wonder why? No, not really.

Is there a way to check the track record of the Manning Passing Academy in actually helping QBs improve? Who are some of the QBs who attended it and then showed marked improvement as a result? Or is it mainly just an evaluation opportunity for scouts and coaches?

Am I suppose to be surprised?
He didn't have accuracy last year.
What was 6 months going to change?

He can't throw it 10 yards accurately. I didnt have much confidence that his accuracy would improve, but his maturity and decision making would. Just manage the game and we win.
