I thought he threw the ball well. We have to throw more than 14x. That's 3x a quarter. I hope they let him play more.

Not going to steal your link to start a new thread, but that site had Les' post-game presser in it.

When asked why he said he was proud of the performance of several players and how the team stepped up on that last set of downs, Miles answered " Because there are so many things on that film that we will need to correct it's RIDICULOUS".

Coach knows the penalties killed us, and he knows that there were first game mistakes. We will be fine, people!

Also a reporter asked Miles, why such a difference in play calling between the first and second half... Miles "I didn't notice a difference".

He was. I guess they were saying he has been sick and barely had his voice last night.

I like how people just assume Les is oblivious to what is going on. The play calling last night was 100% to keep Harris' confidence high and not put the game on his shoulders in the first game of the year. Had he messed it up, it would have ruined his year. Les knows what he is doing.

Yeah, because they did it on purpose and he isn't going to flat out tell the nation he was protecting the kid's confidence. It is better for Harris that Les just play dumb to the media and fans and point out to him that he did all the right things when he was asked to.

It would hurt my confidence more to know that my coach put the ball in someone else's hands to protect me.

We will. Probably not 28 times per game, but as Harris gains experience and confidence, they're not gonna ignore his arm and the receivers we've got.

This. All of The Rant should know by now that CLM is big on the slow methodic development and he will stick to that plan come hell or high water. Had we lost he would have taken the beating - again...

As BH develops he will be trusted more and be used more not that he did anything to not be trusted last night. Mett's first season to play he was a "check with me" guy. His second season he had almost full reign and a 50/50 split on pass/run.

Another point here is that everyone railed on LSU for not naming a QB for so long and now contrast that with Auburn and JJ who has been anointed since before last season ended. JJ has had to carry that burden all off season and has shite the bed so far. I firmly believe that CLM and CCC held that announcement back simply to keep the burden and spotlight off his young 19 yr old messiah.

So he was fine losing the Battle as long as he won the war? I can appreciate that.

Yes that's why it was a total waste of a season and we got one single good year out of Mett being on campus three years. Terrible.
