How does Harris pay for this camp or does he and why Is AJ not do anything like this?
What if AJ is working with a different QB coach? Do we know he's not?
Whitfield is just high profile so this is getting press. There are dozens of good QB coaches in the Southeast alone. (our OC is one of them)

started a new thread because I'm sure most ranters won't bother to read through this one and would just jump to conclusions.

Why do people automatically assume these kid's parents are poor?
i was wondering the same thing. it's a sports summer camp. while it may be better known than most, i seriously doubt that a summer football camp costs $10K.

I wasn't assuming that his parents were poor. I figured at this point everything was ran through the school. So my question was is LSU paying for it or is his parents... Could have been worded better

Re-sharing this.
Thanks Duckie.

@StanfordSteve82 Can't imagine a school w/ a better FR combo than #LSU has with Dupre at WR, Harris at QB & Fournette at RB. Amazing trio. 6:16pm - 27 May 14

Witnessed quite a display of athleticism today: #LSU FR @MalachiDupre snagged abt 7 fastballs in a row 1-handed--while shielded by a DB.

If the QB can get him the ball, dupre might just be the freshman of the year.

This. And I don't recall the number but they asked GW about pricing on Gameday once. He's not doing it for free but he's not charging what you'd expect either.

yeah I would say he works with elite talent more for the recognition

With the exception of Mettenberger's reign as starter, I feel like this happens every year.
People wanted Rivers in for Mett in 2012 and for a game or two of 2013
It most definitely happens every year. Drew Brees could be the QB and people would be talking about how Miles should put in the backup

I'm so excited for football this year. I think our D can carry us to 10 wins, period. All this sunshine pumping from our O gives me hope of a national championship not out of reach.
I'm with you on this one. Going be a long 94 days.

(Lest anyone think the players are getting a sweetheart deal, they must pay for training on their own. Last week, Whitfield told them to obtain receipts for everything they purchased and present their receipts to their school's compliance department upon their return to campus. Most of the players' parents tagged along for the trip because a week in San Diego is a week in San Diego.) I asked Whitfield and Golson about the cost of the quarterbacks time in San Diego. Whitfield usually helps quarterbacks find accommodations. For lodging, it was around $60 a day for the two months. For Whitfield's training, it was about $500 a week. So combined that's between $7,500-$8,000.

No one knows except miles and cam and hell they probably don'thave a clear cut starter right now. Word of caution JJ was always raved about each year at the manning camp. Its easy to be a superstar when no one is rushing you trying to take off your head.
Yeah, but JJ never looked anything close to Harris in a spring game. A year of polishing, and he will take the CFB world by storm.

It will be a two QB system.
