Maybe Ashford gets him but I would have like to seen it.

i will say, Ashford’s tackle on Greg Brooks Jr. after the pick/strip was damn impressive for a QB

Dude is a monster, easy first rounder barring circumstance. He's so fast for his size it's just crazy.

Also, looks like Brooks was ready to pic and go if Perk didn't get there.

No doubt Perkins is a multi-talented player.

Already making big defensive plays for this team.

Absolutely cut from White and Queen mold BUT correct me if I am wrong a true Frosh!?!?!?

Yep. #1 LB in the 2022 class. Kid is every bit as good as his ranking suggested.

Perkins is in an elite group of LSU LBs with Michael Brooks and Devin White.

Too bad these youngsters never got to see Brooks play. Even after his knee injury he was a load for opposing teams. That man was fun to watch.

Even if Perkins isn't tackled on that interception, He never scores a TD........

A flag would have been thrown to stop it. JS!

It was like that all night every time LSU made a big play.

Very Devin White like. A special player. They also say he is very coachable.

A penalty was called. Personal foul on 99, half the distance, on what looked like to me a valid block.

Just wait until the start drawing him up some plays on offense…

Watched him play in high school. He is a freak with the ball in his hands

I know they are completely different players in different positions, but the last guy I can remember having such an explosive beginning to his career right out of the gate was Honey Badger. As good as Stingley was his freshman year, it was late in the season when he had his biggest impact. Like HB, Perkins’ impact has been immediate and key to our success. He looks nothing like a true freshman.

The only QB I have seen hit someone harder is Jordan Jefferson
