77-81 was a great time for Tiger basketball. LSU was the rock star of the SEC. Thanks for a great career Coach.

Spent over two hours talking with him in the Miami Airport one night.

He listens and questions well for someone in his position.

Represented LSU & the State well.

HBD Coach!

Dale Brown is solely responsible for putting LSU on the college basketball map.

Actually when Press Maravich brought his son to LSU is when LSU was put on the map. Dale built on the base that the Maravich's built.

That take is a disservice to what Dale Brown did, so I respectfully disagree.

Pistol Pete brought more attention to himself than he did the LSU basketball program.

The LSU program didn't arrive on the scene until Dale Brown arrived.

Love Pete, but Dale built the program. From the ground up.

No, it was when we discovered we had a player from right here in Baton Rouge named Bob Petit who would become the model for all future NBA power forwards.
