"You still go hire Kiffin even if short term."

Not sure why anyone would argue with this. Both Kiffin and Aranda are short term options.

Covering the Kiffin situation. Says if I'm Houston I'd take him

I feel like Houston hires from within and Kiffin gets an interview at Oregon. Who knows what other jobs open up later this week.

How is ripping someone considered objective?

I don't think you know what objective is.

Of course it would be. Aranda will be short term as well. After 2 to 3 years O will have to hire a new staff and everything will go to complete shite.

Which means Ed needs to hire some "consultants" within the next two years to prepare for the time when Aranda gets a HC job. I highly doubt Kiffin makes a move here.

Everything that both Hanny and Ott said about Alleva were truthful and facts.

When this all started it was said on several of the radio shows that this hire would be pivotal for Alleva's job.
Last week Skip Bertman (on Tiger Talk), after a long ramble on the coaching search process, suggested that the only viable option for LSU was to pony up whatever money it took to get a TOP coach (Fisher, Herman). Alleva said

He either thinks he made the right choice, or must think he's bulletproof at LSU. We'll see

Perhaps they got the coach they wanted and now wish to bring Miles back as AD. Best way to do that is to say this was a badly flawed process not the fault of the people who politicked hard for Coach O. It's the outsider's fault. Of course if it goes bad, it's Alleva's fault - but only because he allowed himself to be influenced by the local yocals.

Aren't there rumors that Aranda has NFL aspirations? If so, it's much more likely that he leaves for a NFL DC gig. He may even pass on smaller CFB jobs, which is ideal to keep him a bit longer.

I've said it for awhile now, I did not want Alleva hiring a new football coach. It's time for Joe to go and I do believe this will be Alleva's last coaching hire.

Why do people keep saying Herman is a top coach.

Navy - 15 point Fav, lost by 6 (lost by 21 with spread)
SMU - 24 point Fav, lost by 22 (lost by 46 with spread)
Memphis - 6 point Fav, lost by 4 (lost by 10 with spread)

How in the WORLD does losing like this make you a top coach? They beat a vastly overrated Louiville team who lost to UK for fricks sake. The Oklahoma win I give them, but the Louiville one I don't. The FSU one I don't. FSU lost the same way Bama did to Oklahoma a few years ago. Players mailed it in.

Couple these facts with how Herman totally mismanaged the clock against Memphis. Miles would have did better with clock management and thats saying something.

Im thankful that Herman got him. We will mop the floor with UT in 2019/2020 and laugh at Herman. He is the most overrated coach in college football.

You and the other negatiger ragers do realize it wasn't solely on Alleva. Herman and Fisher wanted too much money and the UNIVERSITY wasn't willing to pay. There were more people involved other than Alleva.

Not allevas fault that there are only 2 coaches out their in the universe. Just bad luck that those only 2 coaches both didn't want to come to LSU.

Hopefully next year there will be 3 coaches available to interview.

Hasn't everyone within followed Herman to Tejas?
