Butt Pirate is a shill using a double standard. Notice he bashes Arandas first year record while glossing over Orgerons first go round at Ole Miss or the fact that Orgeron did the same exact thing this season with Pelini. This moron claimed every week last season that if we didn’t fire Aranda immediately we’d never sniff a national title. He also praised and defended Pelini all season long claiming his defense was better. He even blames the basketball coach for problems that happened before the guy even arrived here and are football related. You should ignore this poster, he’s no different than a troll.

This is the epitome of sunshine pumping. Using guys Orgeron discarded as examples to compliment him is pure manipulation of reality.

iSo it’s now considered sunshine pumping to criticize Orgeron openly expressing his top picks for assistants which could backfire? What cave did you just crawl out of?

Where do you people come up with this shite?

You certainly were telling people they were wrong when they began to say Pelini was on the way out at the end of the season.

I never understood the reasoning behind O’s negative comments of Aranda’s defense

O wanted the more aggressive 4-3 defense, but he Aranda do his way.

Coach O should shut up until its done. Those guys could follow Brady to a new head coaching job. Then what is O to do already telling people who the first and second choice was.

I never understood the reasoning behind O’s negative comments of Aranda’s defense. Did it involve negative recruiting, something O was told that Aranda said. We just don’t know. Orgeron did praise Aranda later during the 2020 season.

Everything O said about Aranda before last year was nothing but positive. He also paid him handsomely when he considered leaving, so I think the narrative that they had issues from day one is projection based on what happened later.

My theory is that the two butted heads in 2019 on how the defense should adjust to the new offense and moving to an up-tempo style. That was a huge shift and we obviously had some struggles on defense making that adjustment, along with a lot of injuries and a couple of suspensions. Aranda got it cleaned up at the right time, so I think O was out of line with some of the things that he said, even if this year’s defense had been good. It was completely unnecessary.

It’s just a theory, but it explains why things might have changed suddenly between them.

O does have verbal diarrhea at times.

Would you believe there is a word for this?

I’m surprised this word never gains currency. I’ve heard the term “Diarrhea of the mouth” a thousand times.

Too often derogatory phrases are used to describe Coach O. Every person has a talent they possess. For a baw from the bayou to make $6 million a year and coached.the greatest college football team ever, he deserves more respect than this.

You must now unpack this comment. We need to know whether you are full of shite or actually know whereof you speak.

Thanks.

Hanny noted the luxury Coach O has in turning to Brady for advice, claiming they parted ways amicably, implied Coach and Brady remain close friends. Hanny did have a issue with Coach O putting out in the public who he considers at the top of his coaching hires, what happens if they say no to LSU, it would be a bad look. Hanny also implied that the OC is in the bag, and suggested we’ll likely know about Freeman by Monday.

I thought the Tugboat Captain got the credit for brokering this deal on the behalf of O to get Peetz and Mangus to LSU?

Pretty self explanatory, I’m not claiming to know anything that isn’t public and if you follow LSU closely you already know what I mean. While today may make you believe you can pigeonhole my statement you can see in my post history I’ve said this is the pattern he’s followed. When he has slack or leeway he makes Pelini type hires and when his seat heats up he makes a lot more sensible ones. Again it’s all about him and protecting himself or flexing his clout depending on the situation.

I'd put it another way. Orgeron always wants the right fit for LSU and himself, which seems logical. When Coach O feels disrespected, you don't want to be the one on the opposite field against him! If you haven't learned that, you haven't learned anything.

Can you give some examples of cult like devotion? I have not seen that.
