Ott and Hannigriff both agreed that LSU responded convincingly after La. Tech got the score close, unlike the Troy game when it failed to do so, leading to an upset. Pleased that LSU learned its lesson. Now LSU just needs to learn how to play a complete game.

They've had lulls in every single game this season.

The concern is that the team is developing bad habits. They've gotten away with it but maybe one day they won't be able to turn it on when they need to, and that's when the upset happens as you've said.

You don't wait until the upset happens to change your ways.

Troy took the lead with 58 minutes left in the game and jumped out to a 24-0 lead. In what way were these two games similar?

It was good to see the team wake back up when it got to 24-21, it was pathetic it took 21 straight points by LT to get to that point though.

Team has to learn how to put teams away and not coast after getting 3-4 scores early on. Coasting is exactly how LT and to a lesser degree Miami got back in the games.

When you get up 24-0 in the 2nd quarter, make it 38-0 in the 3rd quarter, not go full on who cares and watch a 24 point lead disappear into a 3 point lead.

The games were indeed similar in that a weak opponent was attempting an upset where it differs, is in how convincingly LSU responded. Hannigriff’s right, you are an idiot.

Seems like at 24-0 you throw in some back ups for experience. If the other team scores a few you can put starters back in. At 24-0 starter relax and lose their edge and La Tech comes back. Plus if back ups play well maybe it lights a fire under a starter or two.

The similarities literally begin, and end, with it being an OOC opponent.

The only other similarity is that the team that won almost blew a 24-0 lead. Issue being one of these was not LSU.

Play a complete game. Did they really say that? After watching Miami and Auburn they think we do not know how to play a complete game. What a bunch of idiots.

Perhaps they would prefer that we be Oklahoma, Virginia Tech, Florida or Mississippi State playing a complete game in these trap games?

Apparently you didn’t watch those games if you think we played a complete game.

Just when I thought I couldn't read a more idiotic retort, you're immediately one-upped by the very next post.

This. I think thats the uneasy feeling every tiger fan has right now. We have figured out ways to get the job done, but against teams like UGA / Bama we may not be given the opportunity to recover from said lulls.

Given the number of downvotes it appears we should have lost or gone to overtime against an inferior team instead of winning by 17. This is such a strange fanbase.
