In the game of football, you are tweaking your offense/defense to fit the personnel you do have. Its what teams have always done. Alabama does it, OU does it, they all do it.

Going from what Ensminger did in 2016, to what Canada did in 2017, to what we did last year, to what we're doing this year is not tweaking.

Those were major changes every year.

This is very true. Lucky that he was available but tremendous job getting the guy on campus.

Then you don’t disagree with me at all

Luck is part of life, we were very lucky Burrow was available because with out him last year we don’t win 9/10 games but more likely 6-6,7-5. Big credit to O for getting what he needed.

Right. But you exempt yourself from providing facts.

What "facts" are you using to form that wild arse opinion?

Yes, yes, YES Roger. This is what good coaches do. Of course they all have their base system, but you have to tailor that system to fit the talent. If you're having to find the right talent for your system then IMO that's a mistake.

We've made major changes to the offense every single year he's been HC here. That's a fact isn't it?

That doesn't sound to me like someone that has a plan and is sticking with it because he knows it will work. It speaks to someone that's confused.

I think Canada was a reactionary hire. I don't think going back to Ensminger was reactionary at all. Orgeron said they were going to construct an offense which is a pretty damn bold move. It may cost him his job or it could give him a hold on it for many years, but it's a gamble.

Isn't that what happened?

Let me guess Roger, even though what I said is a fact, it's bashing because it's a fact I brought up. Right?

What's funny is that IF, God forbid, the Joe Brady experiment doesn't work out this coming year, (I have my reservations on the whole arrangement, but that's for another thread) Buckeye Jeaux and Ree will be the first ones on this board, once December hits, to try to incite the masses against Brady.

Spot fricking on.

Once again, it won't be Orgeron's fault. The offense still sucks because all these incompetent people just keep getting in his way. That will be the narrative.

Damn, you hit the nail on the head with this comment as well.

Meyer waited 2 years too long to change. It cost him his dream job.

Well Meyer's being too damn picky. He needs to be more like o and claim that every job, or any job, he lands is his "dream job."

“Actually 2. Cardale Jones ran his own flag-football offense for the 3rd Natty.”

Lmfao, I wonder how the other 10 guys on the offense knew what to do?

Its not only that everything he says is made up and just comes from his imagination but he’s not even smart enough make sure his fantasies make sense from a practical standpoint.

I thought about changing the thread title to "delete" and RA'ing to have it removed. Then I realized someone would just make a new thread and the same shite would be discussed. Maybe if we just leave this one up we can contain it as much as possible here.

I honestly don't think there's an attempt at logic. It's all a troll. There's no way anyone is dumb enough to make the leaps the way he does. It's always making points by connecting invisible dots and constant misdirection.

Zeke loved Cardale's offense.

Zeke averaged 232 yards per game in those 3 games Cardale started in '14 (Wisconsin, Alabama, Oregon).

Zeke averaged 99 yards a game with JT Barrett as starter in '14

Cardale kept the DBs honest with his passing game - JT's Read/Option? - not so much

Wow! I really thought you were smarter than that. Cardale was a stone cold Pro-Style passer left over from Tressel's recruits. He was NEVER a Read/Option QB. He ran the pro-style offense he learned at Glenville High in those 3 Natty run games. Herman took credit for it, but Herman had almost nothing to do with Cardale's success. Zeke certainly did. And vice versa.
